READ HERE About 1.0 multiplayer structure

When people take no action about the issues that do matter it’s difficult to read it otherwise.
Take this as an example: GoT has a petition with more than 1.000.000 signatures asking to redo season 8 episodes, and the number continues to grow by the minute and was created close to a week;
the petition to end plastic pollution has 865 signatures and was created 1 year ago

This example makes it obvious where people currently have their priorities and how vocal they can be about things that are completely meaningless but are dreadful quite when it comes to things that have great impact in their life.

Passing this to ACC matchmaking, you seem to lead a crusade about a single aspect of ACC just because you think that’s the most important thing about ACC (to have matchmaking in the terms you consider it must be), but that doesn’t mean it is [the most important] or even that it doesn’t have matchmaking [as you consider matchmaking must be].

 

In any championship, the schedule is published in advance to give everyone a chance to prepare somewhat.

Having said that, I race cyclocross in the winter and although you know the location of the race, there’s no way of knowing what the actual course will be, since it changes every year. Plus the weather conditions are also difficult to predict and can cause major problems.

So I would love a matchmaking system with random tracks!

 

Well, let's not count our chickens before they hatch. Rfactors competition still not there so as UI.

 

Personally I play from around 12pm UK time most weekdays and there are always enough players around to get a game.

Typically I can see 5-6 populated servers when I go on around 8pm UK time.

You think the game is dead already? Before it's released? Before its content is complete?

I just judge acc for what i can see now. And for my experience seems that noone play this sim for now.

Player numbers are a serious problem here. Maybe they’ll rise significantly when we get to 1.0, let’s hope so. With current numbers though, the current approach to MP doesn’t work. In the US, in the evenings, the system will recommend a long list of empty servers to join. I have tried joining the top one, to no avail. I think it’s unarguable that that’s not what was intended and that it fundamentally doesn’t work.

You need a mechanism to allow a relatively small player base to congregate together, to herd people to the same servers. The magic button and scheduled races are two ideas that would do this.

I have nothing but respect for Kunos and I dearly love this game. I have had my money’s worth already. So I am not moaning or being entitled - I’m just pointing out some facts that are somewhat unpalatable. This is fixable though, and I’m very glad to hear that Kunos are discussing it.
