1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

AC Career Mode

    Is there any future for AC Career or this mode is completely abandoned?
    It was introduced as a "placeholder" in v1.0.0 in Oct-2014 and hasn't changed since.

    Any hope at all?

    Actually I was thinking of making a career mod because I usually am quite picky when it comes to career progress in games. :)
    But this seems like a tiresome and complex task because I very much lack programming experience and to be frank I lack free time. :(
    Nevertheless ... I had some ideas and have quite a few very close car-performance combos that deserve something like that, hehe. :)

    maybe career mode will be a driving school to teach young pups the ropes, when custom championships are introduced.

    Then it would be sweet, click here and there, option to click to resume a ongoing saved championship.

    bit like race07.

    Until then, I`ll just use the race weekend for my kicks :)

    I don't think so, because they didn't change for consoles and this is the game's career mode since the release.
    To really make a career mode that isn't just time attacks, quick races, and race weekend, they would need to invest a lot of time in planning and executing. They are working on custom Championships, and hopefully paired with AI updates, it can be more relevant for sim racers than the current career mode. The next plan for AI and also integrated with the championships possibly, for me would be multi-class racing where the leaderboard recognizes the different classes and winners, obviously with AI updates for multi class racing where the AI would recognize different classes and blue flags. With the Championship mode AI pitting would also need to work better so they change tyres besides refueling.

    A driving school would be amazing on Assetto Corsa. AC is probably the sim with the largest amount of sim racing newbies (like myself two years ago), so a "learn the basics" mode would be a great feature.

    Edit: It would certainly be incredible if you had to take the driving school before unlocking the public servers... just saying.
