1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    @mikendrix Dude you have no idea how excited I am. The last time I played a sim with a (G25) wheel was when the Dream Pack #1 was released for Assetto Corsa, in 2015. That's almost four friggin years. Four years of starvation. I've been through the slowest rig rebuilding process of all times since then.

    edit @Fernandito It'll probably take a bit of time to get up to speed again but hey it's like a riding a bike, you never really forget :). I grabbed a CSW 2.5 and CSL LC pedals but I still can't decide between the BMW and the Formula Carbon rim, so maybe I'll just get both if I can

    Thing is I read Fanatec was going to release some new rims with its Podium series, any news on that? I've only seen the F1 rim so far

    oh no my fault then . I mean I misunderstood you as I thought it was going to be your first time with a wheel. If you have been already there then the hellish adaptation/trasition from a gamepad procces is no more for you : - D Just a couple of sessions to get comfortable with it once more and that will be all.

    Resuming with your last line on the podium series.., is that the last one they launched few months ago, that is also playstation compatible and direct-drive?, and on the wheel to choose.., I'd go with the bmw wheel for starters, and if you're also into F1 games or use F1 cars in other sims, then why not the formula carbon too (which is an extremely awesome piece of peripheral of course). But if it is only for street and GT cars, then bmw wheel. It is ubber awesomeness as well

    Formula wheel all the life.
    BMW wheel is heavy and almost kill the ffb. Beauty for sure, but worst fanatec wheel due to high weight.

    Formula wheel is the lighter wheel, + the 27 cm diameter is the best choise by far. FFb will be a pure joy

    Thanks for your input man. Everyone I asked so far recommended me the BMW rim because more comfortable for endurance races and more versatile than the Formula wheel. I actually find the formula wheel much nicer tbh

    The BMW wheel is noticeable heavier than the Formula wheel, from what I've heard. Maybe this helps you with your decision. ;)

    -Formula wheel 0.9kg with 27cm diameter.
    -BMW wheel 1.9kg with 30cm diameter.

    The heavier fanatec wheel Vs the lighter fanatec wheel plus a different diameter.
    Same base= FFb very VERY different, it's physics.

    I've had both wheel at the beginning, and after 2 months I've sell the bmw.
    If you want a traditional round wheel search for other fanatec wheels (there are many choices and possibilities) but leave that bmw wheel.

    I love the bmw rim, but like others it's way to heavy for the CSW bases so I sold mine for the porsche rim, the bmw rim numb's the ffb, but for the new DD bases it will be fine.

    To me- Magnetic shifters is a must for any racing wheel with paddles. I got the formula carbon rim and really liked it. Then after a few months I got frustrated with the shifters (double shifts and missed shifts) and upgraded to magnatec shifters from Martin Ascher Racing. There were several aftermarket magnetic shifters to choose from at the time I upgraded and I'm sure any of them would outperform the stock spring loaded ones. It was a $160 upgrade but worth every penny.

    I love my bmw rim, but also like the formula one...horses for courses (or wheels for cars!). I have different settings programmed in for the different rims so the FFB feels good, and appropriate for the cars I’m driving on either...

    Have the dev's commented on when they are going to start working on graphics optimization and performance? Is that something we would see with incremental builds or should we expect that towards the end of the whole process?

    I dont think optimization every stops, but I would expect small improvments maybe found during each build, but until we have the whole game/everything running we will see better improvments.
