1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Did some tests. That option helps, but fps is still not stable even with less than 5 cars showing, but it does increase.

Using MSI afterburner I noticed that my gpu usage is only 40~60% and my cpu usage is 40~80%(all cores/threads and most stays around at 60% and rarely peaks to 80%) which is really low. So pretty much, the game is not using the resources available, resulting is low performance.

Game is not heavy, just badly optimized, hopefully this will be fixed before or very soon after release.

I have a similar setup to yours (6 yr old i5, GTX 970, 1080P) and after the update I hit 60 FPS with most settings on high (textures ultra, shadows mid) with a full field.

CPU usage was 100% with the first couple of releases, but 0.3 is better with usage down 10% or so. My experience is that the number of opponents in ACC has a heavy impact on FPS compared to other driving sims.

Your CPU looks more than capable and scores higher than my i5 according to https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=AMD+FX-8350+Eight-Core&id=1780, so hopefully with more optimisation you will start seeing decent frame rates.

Have you tried running any other game with the unreal engine and do you get the same results?

Yeah, same here! I know, priorities, but I miss the good ole '94 Nascar Racing rear view mirror, you could safely stay in the middle while going three wide!

Or...I can be your spotter when Spectator Mode will be added. :)

in previous post I said it was quite boring as game..
i tried today in a multiplayer server the BMW at the Nurburgring.
i had so fun trying to push this beast.. at any corner I could feel understeering over heavy breaking on the front and load on my g29 wheel.
    60 FPS of pure racing.

This game is taking shape guys.... oh yes...

Just had a non VR run for a change, multiplayer and I have to say what they have achieved so far is a credit to them.
Yes I had a CTD but that aside the way it looks sounds and handles is stunning and it will only get better.

Credit where credit is due, I actually had a pretty awesome experience on ACC now just in hot lap, changed the dynamic dampening to 30 from 0 actually made my wheel feel a lot better (T500), the BMW feels good, has great front end grip and so stable on the high speed stuff. I added the latest Engine.ini for better VR visuals and performance, so it looks decent, multiplayer was smooth, no lag or warping.
Managed a 1:53.7 in leaderboard which is a pretty respectable time using the default aggressive set up.

The only UE4 game I have is Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice and I have no problems with it. Then again, I don't think it's a heavy game.

I guess all I can do is wait and hope the game gets better.

I don't know if this is a global issue (bug) or limited to only a handful of servers, but I haven't had any luck with the servers so far and crashing makes testing hard.

I had some laps in 3 different servers today and there was no problems. Every one of those servers had under 100 ping in the search list. One player had little unnatural movement mid corner. His ping was in 250 range.

I'm glad to hear that, but that just makes me want a default ping limiter more than ever. The server browser is rather confusing and especially the filter tab. Also the text chat font is way too small.

is it possible to do a sprint race weekend at night.

I agree about the ping limit, but atm we need the time to investigate if the higher pings are completely an issue of a client's connection, or if there is something going on inside the server.
Situation will eventually improve, but please give us some time to observe, investigate and improve.

New patch is an improvement considering tire slip and catching slides. With the BMW aggressive setup, I get a much better indiciation in my wheel of how far to the limit I am. Great improvement!

In my eyes the m6 looks and feels just perfect. The multiplayer works as intended. The only problem i got is the sound of the m6. Compared to the huracan, it is way to quiet (yeah i know, the huracan is louder in rl, but its not that much of a difference). In addition to that, the m6 redlines at 7k rpm, whilst the reallife m6 gt3 redlines at 8.7k rpm, as far as i know. I hope there will be a hotfix for this in the future. Besides that, the game just feels awesome, even in this early state.

In the M6 blog Aris states the power band from 3000 to 6200 rpm.

I love the BMW, but my god, the Bentley is a beast around Paul Ricard, although not crazy faster, it is just so stable and can be so aggressive over the kerbs, it just rides them perfectly. (Default aggressive set up)
