1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Seems like weird question at first, but its kinda important for the performance.
Its like a free candle to pick up for Devs, if they didnt use it already ;)
So maybe devs can look into this. @Lord Kunos

Intel is also improving its performance with the new Visual Studio 2017.
Just for Ryzen there is an bug in the old Visual Studio 2015, which makes them slow.

Building with recent compilers is always a thing, doubt they rock good ol' borland c++ builder, cause it's good ol' :)
Keep in mind that UE4 is a rigged game.

No idea which version of Unreal Engine are using at Kunos but VS2017 it's fully supported by the last versions of the engine.

But i'm sure a pro like @Lord Kunos use Emacs or 4coder ;)

Just kidding, i never tried to build UE4 with those two :p

Just as well, as they're editors, not compilers.

They use 4.20 iirc, what an iconic number, i know. Also you don't need full blown VS to build something, some build tools will suffice, and they are distributed separately if you really want them. Just some CMD magic is enough. No idea how build pipeline looks anyway.

I mean manually write the build batch file.

I know, UE4 has a lot of build configurations you can use, mine was only a joke but looks like i lost something in translation.

Usually i prefer to use the UnrealVS Extension for Visual Studio, much easy and less error prone than manually write the batch file.

Being Lord Kunos or any other dev from the team, I would be rather offended by this thread.

Just want a good Support for my CPU.
Intel is perfectly supported out of the box for 99% of the games due monopol.

AMD's Comeback is done, but those cpus arent that good optimised yet.
You see also Games which make easily 10-50% better performance, just doing something small thing like I posted.

You sure the performance difference mentioned is for compiled binaries? If iam not mistaken this is about IDE performance. How fast you have to wait for recompiles / rebuilds of the project.
