1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Hey guys,

Trying to build a genuine public GT3 server, with MR safety grades.
Just search for 'aloog-2' in the lobby.

    Read about MR here:
    v.1.4, no ballast:

    Track currently running:
    Brands Hatch GP

    GT3 cars:
    R8 LMS
    Mercedes AMG
    Nissan GTR

Server is running sTracker, you need pTracker if you want to use this feature:
    Hotlaps listed and updated here:

    Happy racing!

    Hi @Tberg,

nice to see ALOOG gaining more and more momentum these days.

+1 for Huracan with added ballast!!! Please don't leave it out!

And furthermore: Why don't use track rotation here? It was stated somewhere else that automatic track rotation without the need to re-join for the racers is already possible somehow. This would significantly spice up a "boring" GT server ;-)
As for grip and weather: no higher than 97% I'd say and randomized a little. Weather also randomized, no tyre blankets.

I didn't know trackrotation without reconnect to server was possible, that's great! I'm not in control of the dedicated servers, but will speak with BigB about getting the Huracan in with ballast.
So you guys would like more a realistic set GT3 server, than a pick-up n play like the FixedSetup server?

I know there is a linux track rotation plugin but haven't looked into the details, AFAIK you still need to rejoin but I could be wrong. But our servers all run on Windows.

FixedSetup server is better I think, lot of battles for position. Even more if you turn on track rotation, it's not possible to make a decent setup in 10 minutes.

I like where this is going after MR implementation on the servers. Yesterday I get through turn 1 in 100% of races :D

@Tberg: Yes, realistic please. With 1.3 cars are more planted and predictable. With high grip settings and especially tyre blankets they get really boring.

@bigbawmcgraw: I will look up that link later.

I also found fixed setup really cool so +1 there.
  12. LeDude83

    LeDude83 Alien

That is also because of the improved load sensitivity/low speed handling of V5 tyres. I haven't had an exaggerated collision ever since...it might have fixed that as a side effect.

Two points of view for fixed setup, some tracks require at least basic setup to help you not being faster but consistant and racing without adjust gears sucks too. For example for imola must adjust brake bias and diff for stable braking cause there are very tricky braking areas. You cant race if you are not consistent and there are tracks that need setup changes to be consistent.

    +1 for huracan with ballast.

I'm thinking that we already have 1 fixed setup server, running R8/SCG on 100% grip?
Not convinced yet that fixed setup is the main attraction over people actually on server. I'm the type that always sort clients for most players on server, then after that see if there's anything I like car/track wise.
But, whatever settings that will get the most support from you guys, making you show up on server, would be the most important thing to me. As soon as a server with above average popular combo reaches 6-8 drivers, it usually gain even more pretty quick.
Any idea how much faster the Huracan is? My experience is that 50kg ballast makes me .5sec slower, but some can drive just as fast and need more ballast to get penalized by it.

Why such no love for p4/5? I cant find any even on GT2 servers. Its something wrong with it ? I know that C7R is not GT2 nor GT3 because some details but P4/5 is pure GT2.

You're right regarding fixed setup. It's fun and puts everyone on a level playing field, but a lot of people want more. We already have 2 servers running fixed setups, I think players need choice to play on fixed setups or not.

Regarding ballast on the Lambo: I put 75kgs on David Pillon in the Audi and it slowed him down by about 2 seconds per lap, which qualified him 5th, whereas he usually out qualifies everyone by about 1.5 seconds. I think cars are much more sensitive to ballast with V5 tyres. I'll be honest, I haven't even tried the Lambo yet. If you want to try ballast on the Lambo I'd start at about 20kgs and test from there. It might take a couple of nights to get the balance right but having more (evenly matched) cars on track seems to appeal to the masses.

Okay, I'll put in some time trying out ballast. Think you're right about v5/ballast, I haven't actually tested my performance with ballast since v4.
I think that Aloog-2 should then focus on setup, realistic grip, maybe up qual to 15min, keep blankets on to get the most out of the time doing setup/qual.
Getting the Huracan in there with permanent ballast would be fine with me.

Yep that server is hosted on linux but I think you still get booted after each race and have to rejoin. Could be wrong.
I personally don't like the idea of changing cars as well as track after each race. It's a novelty which soon wears off. Most people join servers because they like the car and want to stick to it. Up pops a 'more difficult car' to drive and everyone jumps ship and the server gets lost amongst the sea of other empties.

FYI, ALOOG - 3 has been running on track rotation for a few months and rarely gets any love ;)

@Tberg server is set up like that now. If you want more changes let me know.

Agreed on car rotation, track rotation is awesome, though. Imagine everyone stays in the same car but Zandvoort, Spa, Barcelona would be rotated, automatically :)
The "manual" way it's implemented now is a major buzzkill...
  21. bigbawmcgraw

    bigbawmcgraw Alien

It's actually not that bad. When you're booted to the lobby, the server you were on is still at the top of your screen in the lobby. All you need to do is refresh the server (not the lobby) and select a car and join. But yes native rotation, where you don't get kicked, would be ideal.
