1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

hmm it is about 17:30 in Brazil, Valve is on east coast (but who really knows on what time is Steam and when they close approving processes before shuttin the doors for saturday and sunday) .. there might a small time window there but I would make plans for weekend other than testing AMS :) well next week is as good as any other time ...

Actually Valve is located in west coast (west coast Washington and not east coast Washington DC (why 2 Washingtons?!)). This is better because the timezone difference is larger.

My bad I ment west coast - Bellevue (the one on the left :) ) but confused west for east

  6. Thanks for that info David. I look forward to hearing how it compares to AC--physics wise. Do you plan on getting it David?

  7. For me it's superior to AC (so is already GSCE).

So what are peoples thoughts on the BETA? Here's what I don't like/like:
(Quick question though first: How do I set anti aliasing? It says "Configure AA in graphics control panel", but this definitely isn't done in game?)
    (FYI I'm running a standard G27)

I don't like how the Force feedback is baked into a single setting called "Force Feedback effects" that you can set as off/low/medium/high. This affects ALL the force feedback from kerbs, road bumps, the auto counter steer effect when the car oversteers etc. Setting this to off only gives the wheel a centering spring effect. I don't really like how my wheel starts shaking/rattling/swaying just going down a straight.

With that being said I LOVE the force feedback (if I could turn the damn road bumps *or whatever else effect they have running* off!).

I love the braking system. I can actually modulate/feather the brake pedal and know the split second before a lock up is about to happen through sound + the wheel. In AC it just feels like I either lock up instantly or don't brake enough, there isn't an in between.

Stadium super trucks: Where have you been all my life? It's been a while since I've driven a car and actually smiled! These things are amazing.

I like the new main menu. The old one was clunky.

FFB was always this way ... personaly I would recomend to run it alway on Low (Medium and High only add canned effects) .. if you wanna finetune it you need to do that in config file

This info is at the Reiza forum at RD, which if you have the beta... you should have been visiting long ago.

Basically, depending on the graphics card you have, you have to go into your gpu control panel and set AA from in there. It isnt that complicated, but adds more steps which I honestly have no idea why they chose to do this since new people will be clueless and adding confusing steps is never a good idea. However, AA in the gpu control panel is better in SCE/AMS anyway.

FFB has also always been that way in rFactor (SCE/AMS). Perhaps not the best way to do things, but just use the 'low' setting since this has no canned effects and you will still feel the kerbs since they are 3d modeled and will still produce FFB.

Braking is definitely better than in AC simply because they have brake pressure. In AC, we dont have that option so locking up is a pain in the ***.

Beta overall is alright, feels immediately familiar since it's just a repacked SCE. :p

Many of the FFB parameters are configurable via altering the ini file beyond what the preset's dictate; it's possible to use certain aspects while turning other's off. It's a feature for "Power User's" - as Reiza points out. :)

At any rate, the improved detail in FFB now available is great to have and it's going to be hard to be beat when everything is properly balanced and tuned. Reiza is looking for more feedback on FFB so lend a hand by reporting your findings in the Reiza 51 forum if you can.
