Anybody using an i5-3470

I've searched through the CPU benchmark thread and the forums as a whole and have not been able to find anything referring specifcally to this processor - apologies if my searching skills are sub-par

I'm having huge stuttering issues in ACC with any size grid using an i5-3470.

Think I'm CPU limited as I can run with any level of graphical detail and get 60fps plus - currently running at the high preset averaging 78fps in last benchmark (75Hz monitor)

Since the minimum req is an i5-4460 I'm assuming I just have to bite the bullet and upgrade, but since I am able to run all other sims and most games with ease I'm reticent to upgrade just for ACC as I'll likely need to buy new RAM, Mobo & CPU - an expensive task with current component availability

The cheaper option is to pickup an i7-3770, but buying an upgrade for an LGA 1155 setup in 2020 seems kinda....pointless

If anyone has an i5-3470 running ACC successfully would love to hear from you...

My old 3930k + 1080 ti would get above 60 FPS..

So the FPS is fine, its the fluctuating frametimes causing the stutter which are killing the experience...
That being said the 3930k is significantly faster so maybe it's just new CPU time - just hesitant since I don't have issues in any other game

Side note I miss the Jordan F1 team lol

With this CPU/GPU combo Nv 346.x drivers for me were much smoother than 356/7 around 60 FPS..

Something changed for me with Win 2004, new drivers + ACC updates..

Not too fussed now because I shelved this CPU/MB.. That said ACC 1.6 is not as smooth for me on the new hardware.. I have a average screen so it maybe that not playing nice..

I'm on AMD for GPU (580), but just updated to 20.9.1 on that side

Guess I'll just have to wait for component market to cool off then switch to Ryzen
