1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

There were rumors that darned exclusivity deal finally expired after 15 years, but no official confirmation to be found sadly...

Hasn't there been rumors the EA exclusivity deal was up every year for the last 5 years or so? You could almost believe the rumors are started yearly by EA...

Forza has had expensive Porsche DLC packs in the past, no???

They had indeed, might have been some commotion with them being allowed to do that through Microsoft/Xbox, I am not sure how. Hopefully now exclusivity will expire at last.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all in for 250 GTO; I just though there might be a small window for this Porsche opportunity.

Here's one in Forza, one in AC, and one in real life. No worries, the AC one was made by the modder, so is a legit model. Link

Forza has released Porsche packs before (Forza 2, 3 and 4 and Horizon 2). EA initially prevented them from releasing it in Forza 4 but they struck a deal to have it as an expensive DLC about a year (maybe more / maybe less) after the game was released. Not sure why it never made it to 5,

I'm at the point where Porsche can now go and get stuffed tbh... You can only care for so long before resignation and boredom sets in.

We have RUF so its it like we're devoid of road Porsche's. When it comes down to it, Ferrari would be a far bigger loss. Even Audi, the 80s Quattro the R8 GT3 the LMP1. Porsche are hardly a big loss to the GT3 grid as hardly any run currently.

MS paying for this from EA, this year, is not a good sign... Unless they didn't... Perhaps some short term exclusivity prior to Porsche dropping all exclussive deals...

Who knows, the real story in this Porsche licensing drama is more secret than what really happened on 911...

I'm not sure what the price is for Forza 6, but I remember the Porsche DLC being something like $20-25 to actually cover the licensing costs for Forza 4. If Kunos could somehow come up with a way to get the license it would probably have to be $60 at least to cover the costs due to AC selling far fewer units. Regardless, this shows that the exclusivity is still very much in effect if they went ahead with the expensive DLC.

It seems the price for Forza 6 is also $20.

I wrote Porsche an email about it a while back (got a standard reply of course), maybe i'll stalk them again who knows someone might answer or give a hint.

no need to calculate, Microsofts and EAs deal was an exception. There were always Porsche in Forza until EA bought the Porsche licence and they blocked Microsoft. The only reason that EA made an exception is because Porsche was part of Forza before. But it was not easy for Microsoft to convince them. A huge amount of money could have helped :D

did you read "could have helped" ? ;)
But why should EA make a licence exception and get nothing of it and Porsche makes the big money? makes no sense to me.

Both EA and Porsche have to authorize the license to Turn10, after all they need data and models for porsche cars. But even if didn't, doesn't seem logical that EA controls Porsche's brand license in video games. They can be exclusive, but EA on its own can't make extra contracts to other video games involving Porsche company, without Porsche authorizing it too.
edit. I see the subject was also more about who gets paid, that's up to them, who wants the money.. :) But I don't see Porsche not wanting money coming from Forza deal.

sorry for slightly off topic but if there is any truth in the revival of gt legends what do you think will happen with porsche there? porsche was quite a big part of the original. they certainly cant go down the ruf route I wouldnt have thought for classic 911s or the 908 & 914.

I dont really mind no porsche license in ac as we have some cool ruf cars and I have 0 interest in gt3... but no classic porsche in gt legends :O
