1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Are Sim Racers Gravitating to ACC?

    6. TrackIR/OpenTrack support (or similar)

See this thread here: https://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/...l-be-trackir-supported-day-one-for-acc.50367/ running at 17 pages... Many of us have given up with ACC until we can either afford VR or get head-track support...

Thanks I will give it a try tonight. How do you adjust VR pixel density though? In my game that option does not have arrows and I can't seem to change it.

It is also the most popular type of cars. Reminds me of when people constantly asking for touring cars, yet things like Audi TT, Abarth 500AC, or classic touring cars are getting not remotely close usage compared to GT3 cars in AC. Like people whining and asking for pretty much one F1 car for every decade, but most open wheeler races are always Formula Abarth.

  3. Very doubtful this will happen as things stand. Nothing to suggest this has happened yet either.

This topic is sadly just regurgitated views of the last six months etc.

One half say “we need an iRacing style system to draw us to the game”.

The other half say “no we don’t. The game has better physics. Go back and play iRacing if you don’t like ACC the way it is now.”

The other half come back and say “we are playing iRacing. We just want ACC to be better”.

    That’s it really.

I just wish those who are anti-iRacing were just a bit more tolerant of us who want a better multiplayer/special event system for ACC. You guys don’t need to agree with us, but at least accept that there is a decent proportion of people pining for it and we’re keen Kunos try something in the future to build a smaller but similar system that could at least be slightly comparable to iRacing.

It won’t ruin your game. If more people were drawn to ACC then it would be better for you guys as well. More players = more success for Kunos.

We mean well, no matter how irritating it must be reading us constantly asking and hoping for some sort of iRacing system (albeit on a smaller scale).

We all want ACC to be a success, otherwise we wouldn’t be posting on here.

I don't know what iracing is like so I cant comment but I'd love some kind of divisional system in ACC.

For example, every single player in the game is put into a 30 driver league based initially on their ratings. You might have 1000 leagues or more.

Then each day there is an event you can score points in a range of ways from. Qualy time, position v average rank of field etc. 7 events a week and a promotion/relegation system at the end of the week.

It's just a random idea but allows daily racing easily (quick race kind of thing where it will try and put you in a server with players from similar leagues) and the expansion to open championships, cups etc.

I don't know, I'm stuck on a train so my mind is wandering!

  7. I think that if you want to build competition, a big competition, one series game is mandatory.
Otherwise you lose yourself in a universe of different categories and mods.
In this way you can choose one car and that's it for all tracks.
improving and improving over years, you will be able to catch the fastest ones.
But in the end the result we have is even better: they had a lot more data for less cars, leading to more characterized models, which is even better that 1000 cars to be driven in the same way.
In the end if we will be able to have multiple choices for cp in the same time (3 events, in 3 tracks) it will be awesome.
You will improve and improve until you reach the highest cp level, and once you are in such a level, you should have the possibility to qualify for Sro egts.
the only thing missing at the moment are statistics, but it is unavoidable since cp does not work yet.
so, let's wait and see. I'm trustful. custom liveries are coming, driver swaps are coming.
    Everything is very promising.
one thing could be studied and added: teams and merged statistics for the drivers of a team. if they do also that, there's nothing else I can imagine to add.

    Lol, are you sure?

So adding 2 more CP events would fix the game? People already complain their CP events are sometimes empty because, surprise surprise, players are leaving the game and CP lobbies are not ideal as well. This game is promising since EA and I wonder for how long it will be promising.

That's not true as the 2 big simracer titles are not one series only...

Personally I would not limit myself to anything. And if I can, allow me to advise you not to limit yourself with a preconceived idea, and I ask you a question?

And what if at the end of the year a new simulator came out better than ACC, or with unique and interesting peculiarities?

I admit that today AC1 is my favorite, and I hope that it will also become ACC. ACC for immersiveness and physics is the most rewarding on the market today and I say this without fear of being denied.

The primitive competition instinct is a large part of every human being. It is written in human nature. There are those who compete by playing chess, and those who pretend to be drivers with simulators. But those who love running do so with everything that allows them to satisfy their animalistic instincts.

On the other hand, every game on the market to be able to exist, on the whole must satisfy this need that is shared by every person.

We all write on this forum to address and spur on these good developers to turn a swan that will surely become this ugly duckling that is still at the moment.

And when will AC2 come out? Don't you want to own it?

  10. man cp is bugged now, that's probably why you see less people. Anyway last time i enjoyed there were 60...
also I still prefer this game for its physics. I could also play alone and still enjoy it.

Strange, mine I can adjust, a few updates ago if your resolution scale was set to anything but 100% then pixel density was greyed out but that was fixed fairly recently, 1.03 0r 1.04.
Maybe worth a reinstall and clean up the folders in App Data and documents on the PC if it’s not adjustable .

Also are you subscribed to the Beta branch?

True true. I only meant for now and it was a metaphorical statement. I still drive iRacing and GTSport and occasional AC. Forza if I want to totally goof off and even Wreckfest. I mean if I really want what feels like a true race for me for now it's ACC and I want ACC to do well, till my next love :).

There's still a lot of cynics out there because of the issues with 1.0 and also the problems with VR not being optimized yet, but I'm pretty sure this game will take off soon once it's polished some more. I really hope Kunos uses the Blancpain license to its full extend and adds the cars and tracks from the different GT world championships as DLC. GT4 would be a nice addition as well which people would open their wallets for.

Thanks. I did a fresh install last night and was able to change VR pixel density now (for some reason that option has been gray for me since day 1 so I assumed "render resolution" should be used instead). I did get some improvement and the wiper movement is tolerable for me now (although still some "ghosting").

However even if I crank pixel density from 130 to 150 and all the way to 200, lines and stripes in the game are still very jaggy compared to other games in VR, such as starting grid lines, track limit lines, stripes at Paul Ricard etc. I tried different AA settings too but no much improvement. Do you see jaggy lines in your rift? Just trying to confirm if there is still something not right on my end.

I like this idea. I only hope that Kunos does not get discouraged or get smaller funds because of the the whinings and negative users' reviews.

No real issues that I can think off, I’ll have a good look around tomorrow. If AA is set to KTAA though then it’s pretty bad, normal Temporal AA is good though
