I cant seem to adjust ABS in the car even though buttons are mapped to McLaren rim? I have tried most cars and i can change everything else i have mapped but ABS can only be adjusted from in the pits?? Is there a reason as this wasnt always the case?

 

That doesnt sound right. Which button do you use? I can adjust ABS on the McLarenwheel. I use the right little red switch for ABS and the left one for engine mapping. Was never a problem.

You can also change ABS via the hud and the funky switch, btw

 

I have the rotary knobs mapped for TC and ABS but tried mapping ABS to the red toggles but that didn't work either.

 

I can map the buttons for ffb gain inc/decrease but on track they don't work..

 

I think it would help if like AMS2 there was a number appear on screen when changing FFB, I find I can just hold the button and the FFB changes in ACC but it's totally a feel thing and I have no idea how far it is changing. A on screen prompt would be great.

 

It should show up in a red box saying that your FFB changed and by how much.

 

I think the actual feedback is enough.

 

How do I get that?

 

It is there by default, you probably have it hidden in your hud message settings.

 

Okay thanks, yeah i have the HUD off, i wish we could edit the HUD how we like and only have very specific elements on screen. I'll have a look what i can do and if any advancments have come since i last looked.

 

From what i gathered UE5 does not really shape up to be so much different in terms of being an easy to work with engine, just like UE4 was/is not. I think the chances are way higher for us to see Kunos using again their own engine for the next Assetto project than them using UE5 or another already existing engine.
If they are setting up an AC2 to be a project that will be supported with content for the next 5-6 years then there is also merit to putting in the time developing their own engine for it.

 

if you consider the current beta version then yes. .it's not really that different from UE4 when it comes to good workflow.
But one of the main points in UE5 is the introduction of a new gameplay/scripting language that should make the programmers' workflow much more agile.

- Added virtual mirror size and vertical positioning offset adjustment via hud.json (virtualMirrorSize and virtualMirrorVerticalOffset).

Now, it's not anymore in the hud.json, why ? My virtual mirror has the default big size, and I would like a small mirror.

- Mirror settings now exposed in the new View Settings menu.

It is now available in the view settings menu and saved to cameraSettings.json

 

what sort of update is expected or were you expecting, and why tomorrow especially?

 

There was a special football match last evening, it was a joke

 

it was tough to take but Italy were worthy winners, definitely the best team on the night and throughout the tournament.....I hope the guys at Kunos enjoyed it and celebrated well ⚽️⚽️
