1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Neat. Congratulations to all the really quick drivers out there!

I think it would be nice if old special events were still be playable in future (just not counting towards the leaderboard) and if the leaderboards for previous seasons were still visible in-game.

Also some text somewhere on the special events screen denoting which season they're from and how long they'll be up for.

That should probably be 991 without the II.

In-game the 3rd event isn't that but instead a superpole at Monza with the R-EX.

Is it possible to see the rankings like the one in SRO?

12 seconds between 1st and 3rd on event #33 Brands is a little odd? Any particular reason for the discrepancy compared to other events e.g, the whole Spa top ten are separated by only 8 seconds? Was it just popularity and an obviously quick time by Duck Tape. Hmm was it a wet event too?

  9. DuckeyTapey

    DuckeyTapey Hardcore Simmer

Yeah, it was in heavy rain. Wet events tend to be less popular (less then half of the amount of participants in the Spa event) and gaps between drivers might also be bigger in wet conditions.

Hi, I'm the 3rd time in this event. Yes it was wet, and a fast and consistent setup was hard to find for me. I think Duck Tape just found a very good setup combined to a great driving. The wet conditions and less popularity helped me without a doubt to be 3rd.

@pankykapus just be aware that looking at these results many can leave the game instead of being encouraged :(. Sure there is a true talent but also a lot of time dedicated behind these times. I'm just afraid that even if I had plenty of time to play (not the 2-3h per week I can afford) I could reach top 200 at maximum. Or not even. I suck.

Nowadays everyone wants to be a world champion at something but for most people it should be accepted that you will never be.
Once you have accepted that and find yourself a performance bracket where YOU shine life is absolutely wonderful ;-)

I KNOW I will never be able to beat those alien times - I look at them in wonderment and admire the quick guys and gals who do perform and try to learn a thing or two from them but I do perform with same guys around me somewhere in the mid field and thoroughly enjoy it there ;-)

Sure. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining I’m not among the fabulous 10. I just thought that with a little of practice and learning on my own would have produced decent results. I realized that there is something I miss and cannot get what it is. I think I need someone to teach me to pass this step. In many other fields wasn’t necessary, hence my “disappointment”. But very first step is to find a little more time for my hobby.

It's the same for any kind of sports (or even organized efforts) where modern technology can just draw the whole world's talents into the same space. The internet (looking ahead of the ugly) is full of people who are so much better in what they do; be it interlectual things, humor, arts, reaction time or "just" driving a car around in circles :D Didn't happen when we were young and possibly felt like a decent footballer or swimmer, as the physical world has a low chance to pair us up with a world class talent right in our neighborhood.

The only thing we can learn is to accept this, and still have our fun in contributing.

    OP updated:

The next hotfix will add the missing event from this batch (Season 2) that was excluded due to an error:
    #36 Hotstint - Barcelona - Aston Martin Racing V12 Vantage GT3

    Some questions:
does track get faster with time? (my imagination says yes)
Optimal tire pressure around 30 psi?
TC vs. Leadfoot: I am on the woodpath when I think less TC triggering as possible, but simultaneously I gain time when accelerate harder and TC kicks in?
Upshift: rather earlier I suppose, I think to feel the Aston goes better with early shifting (more torque, less TC triggering,(makes no sense when I think about) or is it because of LSD (after reading the posts about LSD today I got one more gray hair :)) but I don't think so, maybe I have better controllability with lower rev
Videosettings mid to high (except shadows) track looks all gray not really dampy except some puddles? Curbes shining so well, also runout areas...
    Gentlemen, start your engine!
    PS:
    Wet preset ABS/TC 6 Map 1
    -1 psi
    Brakeducts 1

By the way, I looked at my whining post and was exactly 1 month ago. In this period I dedicated a little more time and efforts (probably 25h out of my ~90h in ACC) and I can see the results. All green CC bar (ok, not all "very good", nor "perfect", but green) is no longer a mirage, and I managed 1:19,5xx at Spa with the Porsche whereas before my very best was 1:23,xx. So yeah, I can see the light!
