Assetto Corsa delayed to June on PS4 & Xbox One

Better late and superb, than early and buggy. Also what a great pat on the back by the Dirty Rally guys. Keep up the hard work Kunos, the console folk will love every second you spend making it fit for purpose.

 

Does this mean we get the update early? Or do we have to wait another million years? That "update every month" is a bit far fetched isn't it .

 

Update every month? It hasn't been that way since the first few months of Early Access.

 

Yeah, I don't know about that since I joined in summer of 2014. I do remember Stefano saying it in one stream though. Again, him saying something on the stream doesn't mean sh#t either as we learned or at least I did. My favourite thing about Kunos is still their announcements. *everyone waits for new update* "Hello, we've been quiet for like 3 months but the new update will be out in a week or 2 weeks or tomorrow at this time that we might hit or not" and then *throws money at the screen and proceeds to wait for the next one*

 

I bet there will be another one of those announcements coming very soon.

DiRT Rally's chief games designer Paul Coleman:
"The only thing I will say is that if you look at games like Project CARS and Assetto Corsa, they have filled that part of the market that I think a GRID Early Access game would be trying to tap into.

"So I do wonder whether there's something else that we need to do with that franchise that maybe doesn't speak to those areas that I'll be quite honest and say, especially Assetto Corsa, I think they're doing very good things in that area. I think they're going to be setting the cat amongst the pigeons when it comes to Gran Turismo and Forza. I think there's going to be a bit of a wake-up call for those bigger titles."

Not faint praise.
