Assetto Corsa drift review

Just a quick review on asseto corsa drift physics.

 

Thanks man, I really enjoy people like you with high dedication and amazing hardwares, I'll post (in a few hours) my latest drift set up for the Audi Quattro on the main set ups thread on PS4, if you want to give it a quick try and give your impressions I'll be glad.

Nice video! can you explain in what situation you would use " clutch kick".. and what the technique is?

 

Clutch kicks are usually used to maintain a drift. When you feel the vehicle about to gain traction, or when you need to maintain a drift. you kick the clutch to disturb the rear end. This allows you to maintain a drift. And great for directional changes, This technique preferred over using the e- brake. Because when you clutch kick you don't need to take your foot off the accelerator, whereas every time you use the e- brake. you have to let go the accelerator and press the clutch to prevent damage to the drive train. Don't know if this is applied in the game though.

while clutch kicking do not let your foot of the gas,
as you kick the clutch, apply more gas as well. this will insure that once you get of the
clutch the wheels are spinning faster than they where. allowing you to maintain and create more
angle in your drift.

when you e-brake to drift never pull without the clutch engaged and the accelerator released. this is a bad habit, and in real life, lead to premature drive-train damage.
