I really do like Dirt Rally 2.0 now that they've banged out some content and that Colin McRae pack coming soon will be cool.

I just want Kunos to keep focusing on ACC for the foreseeable future. I think we can reasonably expect a 2020 update for the GT World Challenge Europe (formerly Blancpain GT) and IGTC, as well as potentially the addition of GT World Challenge Asia and America down the line, and maybe even some GT4 cars too. But that’s all just wishful thinking and speculation, which is basically this entire thread!

No thanks. Please give us the full world endurance series including Le Mans etc.

I'm completely fine with it being GT3/GTD/GTE only as I really like the single class aspect.

Throw in AI prototypes if you like.

I think with this release, Kunos show us what can she do. For me until now, maybe the best sim for GT3 cars !
So i think this will be the same quality (weather, night, etc) with the Assetto Corsa RALLY ! This is of course my opinion.

I think Dirt Rally 2.0 is ok, but we can not compare this with the Assetto Corsa Competizzione quality (physics and graphics).

Why Rally? 20-80 cars in 1 lobby in ACC, driving against a ghost time in a Rally game... And yes, I know about WRX, racing against 3 others...

Rally is a niche within a niche. Look at iRacing for example, barely anyone touches the dirt races.

AC should keep focusing on road racing. Hopefully ACC will be expanded with more DLC before they move on to AC2, which hopefully will be even better than ACC already is in a lot of ways, but with more series, more tracks, more cars and hopefully more serious multiplayer.

I'm gonna disagree, rally is not any more niche than other type of racing. People at iracing just don't care about it.
Look at DR 1 and DR 2.0 popularity its definitely more than iracing.
since DR series is still arcadish there is a HUGE hole in sim market for a proper rally sim, means this is a extremely good opportunity since no one will be able to comepete with proper rally sim as there are no competition.
look at options people have instead of ACC .....nearly all sim in markets have gt cars some have even more than just gt3.
rally is not niche,it is untouched gold mine and if i had money i would've definitely made a rally sim.
Just imagine lancia stratos with tramac physics of ACC PLUS simulating rally cars itself is easy task for both cpu and physics devs as they don't have this sophisticated aero especially old one.(if you say new cars have aero BUT no one will get licence of new wrc cars so no prob)

    Lol. :D

I highly doubt that there'll be a AC Rally. I mean, it would be cool, but, there's really not a big target audience for that, if it wil be a sim like Richard Burns Rally (no, Dirt Rally is NOT a sim).

I think AC 2 will be the next strike. The way things went with ACC, and the way Kunos always argued that they were aware that the target audience for ACC would be limited, I think that AC 2 is just logical, because, AC 1 was a commercial success.

I own DR2, I have played it for 20 hours and already am kinda bored of it. I've played ACC for over 630 hours and I'm still playing it. In rally games there's no fun in competing with others on track, you just drive against a timer.
And there's a reason there aren't too many rally sims, because people are more interested in other forms of racing. I bet Kunos would do better with F1 instead of Rally. Not saying they should, hopefully they won't!

If they make a good quality game, people will come no matter if there are a lot of other games on the market that offer the same thing.
Kunos should stick to road racing. Hopefully they will expand ACC to consoles to generate more income so they can develop a full AC2 game.

Forego licensing, make fictional tracks and cars, and make a mp racing system that has entry fees and prize money.
