[ASSETTO_CORSA] SIMULATION_VALUE??

Just saw [ASSETTO_CORSA] SIMULATION_VALUE, in changelog, but have no clue what this actually changes in the game?

 

There is a running gag in the pretendracecars.com comment section, stating AC has no simulation value.
Kunos, who disagrees with PCR's voiced opinion on the game - which is, while somewhat negative, quite right in my eyes - obviously put the joke on them.

Just a joke from Kunos to cater the simulation experts. Ignore it or laugh at it.

 

Regardless of what people think. This game helped me get to grips with drifting in its absolute infancy when it first became available and taught me some basic control which was useful in real life. Add some real life drift practice and I'm now comfortably capable of linking corners and handbrake entries now. So haters or no haters. This game is a very good place to get some starting experience with a wheel. Definitely my highest rated simulation game.

Basically it's a line that kunos needs to dump down physic for the console release. I think that if you are and hardcore sim racer, seeking for psychiatric help, you should try a value of 8

Think I'll set it to 100, to have FULL SIMULATION!!=)))

 

Try it at 42, I think you'll like it.

Be careful though as AC is a nuanced piece of software, and there are some complex interactions with the placebo effect code.
