1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

BoP Adjustments v1.5.7

exactly, and Aris at least for GT3 (not very ffamiliar with GT4 BoP) only shared what is basically obvious for everyone to guess with the Nerfs (like the Porsche in general or AMG at certain tracks), but shared only one buff to a car not a lot of people care about the Jag. Smart IMO.

  2. When iRacing makes changes to the balance of cars, they say what they changed in their patch notes. They obviously do not give exact numbers, but they tell you what you need to know. They are also under various NDA's. Not sharing changes has nothing to do with NDA's.

So does that mean, you went away from the real life BoP a bit in order to achieve a better balancing of the different cars?

Well, it is a game - and changes to the balance in a game should be documented, so that players diving into theorycrafting know where to go... but I come from a totally different segment like WoW and Diablo and PoE, so I am used to a different kind of patch notes and communication with the community ;) Anyway, happy that we got some kind of "balance" even though we have no clue what was balanced :D

No, it's using the very limited freedom we have to make the field more balanced, while respecting all real-life car and BoP data that still continue to remain untouched.

All in all, the changes are very minor and respect the existing strengths that each car already had.

I appreciate the ongoing work you do @pankykapus . The timing of this BOP update is quite poor though. We are currently half way through the Official SRO Asia esports Sim-AM qualifying at Monza. So now it will be basically impossible to chase down laps already set in certain cars (only top 2 in each car gets in). Fingers crossed SRO reset the leader boards.

Going the Epic Games route. No real patch notes.

    Awful decision imo.

Interesting, never saw anyone driving the Jaguar. Always thought this old model was not really a match for the newer cars. But if it is included in the BOP it should be possible to be fast in it?
Would be great, anyone driving that car now?

Oh well... we changed something on the bop, but we never tell you what we did exactly.
You have to give the guys some credits for lowering the bop on the Porsche and hopefully the Audi, mercedes, bentley, honda, Lexus, bmw, blablabla.
Btw any news on the new bop update in the next update

A bit of love to BMW GT3? Too slow on most tracks

  13. It is be supposed to be equivalent performance...

  14. Aggressive setup testing Jaguar vs Bentley. Bentley a quick car overall, doesnt shine out in top speed nor acceleration at all.

After sort of maining the Jaguar a while ago, I knew where the car struggled alot with its speed.
Today with quick testing on tracks I knew Jaguar lacked its acceleration advantage over other GT3 cars are Kyalami, Barcelona, Spa, Nurburgring & Laguna Seca

Spa has indeed been updated. Very clear it can finally use a 6th gear and finally breaks that 260km/h barrier.

Jaguar G3 seems to still miss it on Barcelona, Kyalami, Nurburgring and maybe Paul ricard??
Kyalami: Jaguar wont hit 240km/h on start/finish straight. Bentley hits over 242km/h
    Barcelona: Jaguar hits 257 km/h on start/finish straight. Bentley hits 260 km/h
Nurburgring: Jaguar hits 245km/h on start/finish straight & 243km/h on back straight. Bentley hits 248km/h on start/finish & 245km/h on back straight.
Laguna Seca: Jaguar hits 230 km/h straight, Bentley 232 km/h.

Seems the Jaguar hits 190-200km/h and poof, gone is the acceleration.

EDIT: Testing done under hotlap -> Cloudy preset 11 AM

  15. anyway guys it has not changed much, unless you are at the top level, i think, you will see no difference...

  16. Excuse me bgs, what kind of data is that? What aero balance are you using? What springs? What psi? Come on...
There are cars that are slower on high aero (among all cars set on high aero), that are fastest on low aero (among all cars set on low aero).
Cars just have different aero maps. Top speed alone is a irrelevant, a waste of time.

I'm pretty sure that there are a few mega community drivers that will test the changes in laptimes across the board as its been done it the past.

  18. No data. Stock aggressive on both cars as mentioned.
I like Jaguar and driven it a long time. Spa it is fixed on, clearly improvement in both acceleration and top speed.
Other tracks as mentioned before it lacks the acceleration that the car needs to be somewhat competitive.

Clearly if one steps in Jag you'd notice the sudden decrease in acceleration in 4th gear on those tracks.
Its rapid from 100-200, and than its GP2 engine XD
But it has been mentioned before. Basically noone in the game plays the Jaguar so why bother spending time on it.
When I read its a typo and it took since release to fix it. Sad to say the least xD

I'm fine with any improvements, that put the field of cars tighter together.

    So the BoP is track-dependent?
