1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Challenges - More laps on higher difficulty tiers for current 5L races

    Hi,

In many challenges with GT3s (or similar AI ability) that are only 5 laps and the player can lap a bit faster than the AI, many times one is forced to go completely berserk on the first 2 laps so the first 2 cars don't gain too much of a distance, so you can still catch them with a 0,5-1,5 s advantage per lap which would already be a lot on a real race.

On the other hand, the few with 10 laps (like in Monza with the Huracán GT3) can be a lot more fun because you don't feel the same pressure to dive bomb everyone on the start, so you have more time to recover the distance to leaders after being more polite with the AI traffic on the first laps. I guess this would encourage cleaner racing when you don't have a crazy advantage per lap over the AI.

    Thanks for reading

Agree! Assetto should teach racing manners in the career mode.

    100% agree.

I've been raging about this for so long that i don't know how AlleyViper still puts up with me :X

The car in front usually just speeds off while the rest is left fighting on the back, wich means that after you skillfully pass people and have some fun fights and finally reach 2º place, there are only 2 or 3 laps to go and the guy in front is 5 or 7 secconds ahead of everyone else. Wich is nearly impossible to catch without being waaaay faster (in wich case, the race isn't fun or challenging, they are just objects to slalom by).

Sometimes (rarely) the car in first place gets defensive because of car in second place, and doesn't get a huge distance advantage, and this is basically the only way to win with 5 laps without having to bombdive the crap out of everyone in the first 2 laps (ok you still have to do it, just less of them) and do 50 restarts due to all the risky maneuvers.

I know the number of laps is sensitive because the AI is way faster and more consistent in some cars than others but i would say something like this would be better:
    easy - 5 laps
    medium - 10 laps
    hard - 10 laps
    alien - 15 laps

Or maybe the ability to choose between 5, 10 and 15 laps (this is very unliquely due to the extra coding required, and basically may change the dificulty of the event also).

Anyway hope this gets changed, i like the events, but this problem makes many of them just become a rage fest for me more than 80% of the time, even when i'm faster than the PC 0.5 or 1.5 seconds per lap.

    Thanks.
