1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Colors, Lightness and Cloudy Weather

Did you ever thought about cloudy weathers lacking ambient brightness variation ? I mean would you agree that it would be nice to have more dynamic lightness and colorfulness for cloudy weathers ? Which would include all weather presets except sunny weather.

I am not saying that it is unrealistic and wrong in ACC as it really does get dark sometimes, but it is not unusual that even with clouds, rain or a lot of rain ambient stays relatively bright and colorful.

For example in storm weather water on road reflects a lot of light, and it doesn't match with dark ambient.

Would you like to have ambient lighting variation in bad weather conditions ? Perhaps we could expect these sort of things with dynamic weather ?

What we got looks amazing, but there is definately potential for more variation.
    - different cloudy scenarios
    - lightning strikes in thunderstorm weather
    - rain on the windshield in stormy weather seems not heavy enough for me, don't know how to explain, but the rain could splash a bit more aggressive on the windshield :)
just thoughts no criticism, I love what we already got :D
But i think we will see something more with the introduction of dynamic weather.

This, and also spray from other cars should affect out visibility and if you drive in spray of other car should get on windscreen a bit more than it is right now. But as we know Release 1 it looks great as it is now.. We will see in future also how it develops

Driving with wipers off it seems like it is heavily affected by the rain in AC, but fogging is missing as usually it is the biggest issue. And wipers are very effective. But perhaps those cars are so good that the screens doesn't fog, and wipers works super efficiently. Also spray is a bit different than rain, those are smaller and dirty particles of water, they are even worse.

Anyways this thread is more about the shading of the track, colors and brightness (we can adjust a lot of things with reshade, but it would best not to have to use it), windshields are a bit different even though we look at the track through them.

  7. Looks nice. I hope they changed the wet track brightness. Way too much

  8. The GT3 cars have A/C. I don't know how they set it if it's cold and rainy but probably they use it to prevent screen fogging.
Otherwise potatoes are used to solve this problem. Not kidding

I would imagine that considering the cost of racing a GT3 car for a weekend, it would be stupid not to have brand new wiper blades every race, the cost would be so negligible compared to what you are spending anyway. So I would expect them to be at peak efficiency every time.
