Complete online CHAT

I would like to see the full chat of what we write while on server. Text is not a big issue, not even for the ram.
A lot of times I would like to read something later, or to check for something that we talked a while back, and I cannot. We are only limited on 19 rows of text.
It can be restarted (deleting file if there is any created before on disc) by adimn, or when server shuts down.

 

With the chat app you can scroll through the entire chat since you joined the server.

 

Wasn't there a chat log file in the documents AC folder?

 

Why I would need an additional chat? Pointless. If you know what I mean.

you mean the chat function while you are in the pits.

The KS default chat app you can activate while driving has a scroll function, no additional app necessary, you just need to activate it.

 

Yes, while it pits. I spend most of the time chatting there, not while driving in the cockpit. Normally I have chat in cockpit turned off - so I do not even car about it.

 

I'd strongly suggest to keep the chat app open while you're driving, at least when being online (otherwise doesn't make sense).

As a server admin, I do rely on being able to talk to people (warnings etc.). If you don't read the chat, you might find yourself getting warned or maybe even kicked without knowing why.

(Not saying anything about your driving style, just a general statement. )

Edit: regarding the chat log: you can look at it afterwards by looking at the python log. But since there is a lot of stuff in there, you would need to filter the file first, which is a bit tedious.
Might be a good suggestion for Kunos to create a chat.log being saved to the logs folder.
