Psychological advice for frustrated console users: talk yourself into believing that you bought into an early access project that will be fixed within the next couple of months. It doesn't matter that it's not true. Don't hate so much...it's not good for you in the long run.

 

But we didnt `pretend to buy`into an early beta copy.We bought a full price game that was touted as being the same as the pc version,which clearly it isnt.

Being told`,soon`,`work in progress`,and the usual `we hear what you guys are saying` is pretty poor.I love the game but along with other users am getting frustrated with it.

 

Well it's better than getting a message from say Tt/WB that they will NOT reply to your message as their default reply to any bugs/issues reports.

 

And for how long do you plan on being angry about that?!? It can't be good for your health to remain grumpy even though the perspective for consoles is pretty good now. FFS leave the past behind for your own peace of mind ;-)

Why am I even writing this?!? Off to the track, I have a whole freaking day of racing ahead :-D

 

Thank you very much for the update Kunos, but please give us Custom lobbies and not just Private ones.
I would like to be able to set up full sim public lobbies with full control over which assists are allowed so that I can race with like minded people online.

Most importantly for me, PLEASE give us the option to disable the racing line in our lobbies.
In my opinion it shouldn't even have been included in a sim of the caliber of AC in the first place.

I know I'll probably get flamed for saying it but I don't care. Having it disabled helps to keep the muppets at bay in online lobbies.

I'm well aware of all the issues in the console version from individual testing and forum lecture. And if you weren't angry you wouldn't repeat what has been said a million times now, right? It seems to me that you expect Kunos or 505 to bend over for you in deep regret but that's not happening. Instead they improve on the mistakes they made - that's better, no? I find it remarkable that you still prefer to repeat all those complaints instead of being relieved that you'll get what you requested (or "what's been promised"; "what should have been there right from the start"; etc.)

I'm simply impressed with how you hold on to your nagging even if the main reason for nagging will be gone soon - personal choice of how you want to look at things I guess ;-)

I can't speak for other versions, but for the PS4 version The racing line is absolutely essential on some tracks, else you can not see the track many places due to the very poor lighting in this game. Have you been on the ring in cloudy conditions? Its pretty much impossible to see the track in many areas, even if you turn your display contrast way down, and up the brightness. The racing line is always lit though. Although I'm not sure it can help you drive better as the brake zones it shows are just generic suggestions.

I disagree, it's a complete cop out and it has no place in a racing sim.

 

True but we have the PP filters. On dark cloudy conditions with the standard filters the tarmac can look very dark indeed, so i can see why someone would want to activate it then.

 

I can see why some people want to use it too, but I just can't stand the idea of it.

 

Racing line was the first thing I disabled myself, I guess if you still leaning in has a use but even on new tracks (to me) I prefer to drive and experiment with the lines. It's part of leaning the circuit, and is beneficial during racing with other cars on the perfect line.

If you can't see in the conditions, then slow down a little or crash! That's racing isn't it?

That's another issue, that even 'light clouds' look like it's Armagedon outside, i never witnessed that kind of postapocaliptic weather in real life, as default cloudy weathers and filters in AC are
But then again just don't use that kind of weather, racing line... c'mon people.

 

Clear or mid-clear for me. Anything else and you either get black smoke clouds in the ashen sky or too dark a track. I'd normally go for light clouds but I don't like the look of them in this game.

 

You bought the game for the full price, the rest of the mortals didnt. With some exceptions, the game was sold worldwide with the same price as PC version. And in some cases, you could get it cheaper.

And early beta copy? Why? Because it doesnt have private lobbies or leaderboards? The online worked since the first day, there arent many bugs and is fully playable. The game is finished, independent of the lack of features. Also, was your decission to buy the game, dont blame kunos. There was a huge amount of information before the release.

 

Lol. We thought we were getting the latest PC version, we didn't and lots of important things are missing from the console version that's in the PC version. Leaderboards, telemetry, button mapping, calibration on wheels. Then you got the things that gamers expect like a decent multiplayer, which is now dead just to prove how bad it is. All games are released with bugs that get ironed out over time but not many games get released with things missing. Come on I mean why put hot lap in a game without a leaderboard.
Don't blame Kunos, well who is to blame then it's not the gamers fault why bits are missing.
