1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Noted that if you have a typo in the broadcasting.json file it is rewritten to default at startup which is udp port 0 and no password. So maybe check by using the broadcast client that you are able to connect.

  4. Following/lurking on this thread - super pumped to hear CC and ACC making efforts to work together, including other 3rd parties(?) - to be honest, I can't tell who's who :).

    Key Question: is there an expectation that following additional development that CC use in ACC will be a "clean install" that does NOT require further editing of ACC files, at some point in time?

    yeah, if we can get the data we need without using the broadcast API. The change to the ACC config is only to enable the broadcast API - we plan to automate this (i.e. have crew chief update that .ini file so it contains the right settings)

  7. While doing some tests at the Kunos Experimental Server I've noticed CC will work also great in multiplayer if you're alone or joining first.
    Seems to be the slot zero thingy.

    yes, let's hope crew chief will work in multiplayer too. It adds a lot of immersion to the game. I consider it a MUST HAVE add :)

    Had a run with the .11 beta release last night. Still doesn't quite seem to track my car correctly.

    Game settings:
    Custom Race Weekend (Local against AI)
    2 x 5 minute quali.
    2 x 30 minute race, starting in qualifying position
    29 cars on track

    Started race 1 from the back (spun in quali, no time set).
    Throughout the race was battling around 21 - 25th, kept getting updates that I was in 13th. And the 'gap ahead' and 'gap behind' calls didn't quite line up. I suspect this is similar to the 'car slot 0' issue from the first beta release.

    Everything else seemed to be working flawlessly though. Keep up the great work

    Sorry I don't have the logs with me, on a different computer at the moment.

    might be an ACC side issue. Like sometimes when you pass someone it takes a few seconds to update your position on the relative position widget(cant remember whats its called atm, having a brain cramp but you get the idea lol) it affects CC too because you'll hear him 2 corners later saying great pass something.
    It's all been working great for me. One minor thing I have noticed which isn't a big deal to me but others might care more is after driver changes he keeps referring to the other AI cars n the race with the original drivers name not the new one. not sure if this is due to something Kunos needs to do on their end or not.

    Thanks for supporting ACC in Crew Chief, You guys do great work and this It adds so much to this and all my other sims!

    Fantastic to see Crew Chief in ACC.

    I've see it develop over the years to become an essential racing companion, so I couldn't wait to try out the beta. Even in it's early support for ACC it shows great potential. Just hearing the names of the other drivers and their position relative to yours makes races feel more authentic, and the details about lap timings and position makes me focus on the road and less on the hud, great stuff!

    Not many issues for me after the second beta, although sometimes the lap time is delayed a bit, but race position and lap timings look good.

    I have one wish. Perhaps a mashup of the CC spotter with the ACC pit crew. I need some excitable Anglo-Italian engineer shouting in my ear and abusing me in two languages! :D

    Great work again and thanks Jim, Thx1137, Kunos and everyone involved for making it happen.

    Just had a 30 min race with the AI and I noticed that after the driver swap crew chief was still using the names of the first driver for the second stint. Timings, race position and other info for the duration of the race were OK.

  13. Maybe the CC devs can go with the car number instead of driver names because the car number dosn't change during the race.

    Tried the new version and now no automatic messages, but voice recognition is activating Jim.
    Edit :tried reinstalling and got the automatic messages again but only for the first session, after that nothing.
