More or less yes, that's why. Altough I would say the mechanical damage is pretty good

Aris in all honesty said several times in his stream that license is only a part of it, they simply can't handle this in a proper way at the moment.

 

Damage done properly would require a lot of computation so I personally can see their point. The system we have now in my opinion is good-enough™ if you have a contact you are penalised depending on the type and severity of the contact, it's not at the level of simulation that the rest of the sim has but it's ok.

 

They increased the visual damage a lot and the failing headlights is a real nice touch at night.. The bent steering is all I need to know it's time to pit..

It does not bother me one bit however maybe the only little thing I would maybe consider changing is when you nudge the front bar on the left hand side the visual damage goes across the whole bar and includes the right hands side too. If possible I'd maybe consider splitting this the front and rear bar into two contact areas. No big deal though..

 

Even though i'm not a kunos's employee i see this question asked soo many times it's little bit irritating;
i can't imagine how much MORE spam kunos team get about dmg model.
At this point they should just make a sticky note.

I wpuld be happy if I could make it a few tracks into the singleplayer season without further issues when the next patch releases.
Have yet to enjoy ACC without researching, restarting, and retiring until the next patch time and time again!
