Yes, because rFactor1 physics is used to simulate AI instead of rFactor2's much improved physics . As I wrote, it would be completely different if rFactor2 simulation model would be used for AI too (like AC does).

I was really starting to feel revived with rF2 with Sebring and GTE pack. Great quality, the track I feel is the most detailed and beautiful in sim racing.

But then I tried VR in rF2. And I quit. Again.

I feel like there needs to be a x32 PCI-E slot just for rF2. It should show on motherboards "rFactor 2 PCI-E x32" I only mention the slots because I used to have a mobo defect where my cards would read in "x8" mode only. The difference of that was huge, even compared to any other games.

In this vid the developer talks about the new UI. It will be a whole new system not only a pimp up. He talks about sharing your car setup and telemetry data in real time with your teammates on pc, tablet and phone. You should be able to setup a whole crew being able to observe the car during the stint. This would be a whole new level of immersion.
All this is the reason why it takes so long. It’s all implemented already, it just needs tuning. Around Christmas is the expected release.

A yeah, laserscanned Nords, GP track with all layouts and (sic!) Südschleife sound yummy also....

 

Christmas well i guess we waited this long. I'm glad to hear the changes are fundamental & not just some new skin should be worth the wait.

 

This sim is a mixed bag for me. Some cars/tracks are amazing (Porsche GTE and Sebring), others are a total mess (Merc GT3). I feel like the sim has enormous potential but i'm not sure they'll ever get there. The optimization is really bad and now that ACC is out, you can really see the power of the Unreal Engine. In ACC I can go into rain and drop ~10FPS. In rF2 that's a 40-50FPS drop.

 

rF2 still needs a good few years to get up to standard I feel. Studio397 does a good job, but everything is very slow due to how ISI handled rF2 development, so I hope they survive long enough.

 

Takes me 5 seconds to load into ACC/pcars2 track, 2 or more mins for rf2. What the hell is going on there

Don’t you know, it is because their much more calculations in every drop simulated by RF2.

 

Yeah they also need to simulate the rain and spray inside the cockpit

 

Ohh,the haters...............again, MAKE BETTER KIDS..........doenst matter if is RF2,AC,ACC etc,some of you have no ideia to how develop a game,let alone know physics etc...

I'm already wondering how much the Nordschleife will sell for.

The three McLarens are a lot of fun to drive, especially the M23. The only letdowns so far for me are the sounds and the stock setup for the MP4/13, it's too nervous for me.
Is there a good Donington track out there for rF2? I'd like to try and recreate a certain first race lap

 

Yeah, rF2 could do with an audio upgrade and better samples. ACC audio demonstrates how much more immersive the experience is when the sounds are rich and dynamic.

 

Will the AI start a race on wet tire, or do they still all dive into the pits after the first lap.

 

BTW, did the MP4/13 came with Ayrton's watch as standard, because the AC version had it too
