1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

While i agree that the whole "contact system" is very poor atm (and imho this will remain as it is), i also think that there are other priorities first.

I neither said that the contact system is "poor" (it's just what it is atm) nor that I think it is of some high priority. I asked a specific question and you don't answer it at all with your comment. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Cars hitting the wall and bouncing back onto the track has always been a massive problem at real world Bathurst,

I’m baffled as to why an extended highlights package isn’t produced for events like the Bathurst 12 hours. Online now there’s only a poorly edited 30 minute crash video or a dump of the whole 12 hours which isn’t exactly user friendly.

You’d think a decent highlights package was an important promotional tool, something of around 2 hours long so you can get a feel for the race. Maybe the local broadcasters produce something that’s not available internationally but the current situation is poor imo.

Been looking around the web but not finding answers to these real-world question, so might as well ask them here:

    1) Is it more expensive to run a GT3 team or a Formula Renault 3.5 (or other lower-tier) Single Seater?

    2) How are the cars moved between continents on the IGTC - Sea or Air? Seems that between some races a ship would do, but with only one month between Spa and Suzuka I guess they were flown?

It depends on the budgets of the teams and stuff for moving cars. It's typically done by sea as it's a lot cheaper, though some teams will keep one car in Europe and then have another car that they will move around the world for stuff like Suzuka so it's less of a rush. However, sometimes they have to go with air like BMW did the other week due to their cars that were coming over by sea being stuck in South Africa still. They flew a new BMW over just for Bathurst, and I believe another team had to do the same. Also, sometimes teams just go and use the car of another team to save them having to move cars in general, or manufacturers nominate teams to race for them, as IGTC was intended. This is best seen with Audi, Porsche, and Mercedes, who often have different local teams at each of the events.

These are some nice new endulights

    IMG_20200213_144138.jpg

BTW, during Daytona, these endulights for the Huracán (Paul Miller Racing) could be seen. I wonder if they are just their own version or if we will see these applied to all Lambos

  16. I believed that in the IMSA, all GTDs used yellow lights to distinguish themselves on the track and in the mirror as a multi-class discipline.

EDIT: I have now realized that with "endulights" you meant the lights added apart from the normal ones, sorry.

Albert Park may undergo layout changes. Why do I have the feeling they are going to screw some of the best parts of the track. T1 or T11/T12...

    https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/144951/australian-gp-revives-track-change-possibility

If I had total freedom here is what i would do. Lengthen the run into a new T13 hairpin and either rejoin the existing track at T14 (red) or idealy soften the run onto the start/finish straight (blue). This would open up the opportunity for passes into the new T13 or old T1.
