1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

OK DLSS 2.0 - Promising technology that ACC could benefit from

That doesn't even make sense. Sim racing is a niche thing already, add in VR users and you're now talking very low percentages. Seriously, beating a dead horse here guys.

You can't have everything in life, make the most of what you have.

Dlss is not only beneficial for VR users. Everybody with an Rtx card gets an performance boost including most of tripple screen users.

DLSS is only supported on RTX 20 and 30 cards but, DLSS 2.0 does give a very nice performance boost without losing image quality.

Upon all the rest (upgrading UE, redo the custom scripts, testing and crossing fingers to have it all working), Kunos efforts would only be directed to Nvidia customers with the latest graphic cards, the RTX ones, so it’s a feature that not all ACC users would benefit from.

I don’t complain at all, being a RTX owner myself, but probably is also something that Kunos takes in consideration.

However, Nvidia is, itself, a very interested part in having DLSS added to more game titles, and could be something that Kunos and Nvidia could discuss together, considering that, probably, simracers are a group easily prone to invest in new PC hardware, graphic cards included, and of those, a part using enthusiast to high-end components, so flagship cards costumers.

If you look around theses forums, I don’t think you could even call the current number of RTX 2000 users massive. Whilst it may not be completely representative for racing sims, according to the latest Steam hardware survey, barely 10% of gamers currently use 2000 series cards. I think that expecting a massive influx of 3000 series users coming into sim racing when the cards are released would be very optimistic at best (certainly in the short to medium term).

I believe they released the console versions to prepare for next-gen consoles. UE4 has gotten raytracing so it will trickle down to other games than fortnite eventually. I believe Kunos will do it and while they are at it they should look into DLSS 2.1 (for VR). I would like to know this in a couple of months when we have clarity about the new GPU's from both companies so I can at least decide if I need an Nvidia card or be better off with AMD for cheaper.

Yeah, a lot of people skipped the 2000 series due to the small performance gains over the 1000 series, so that's not representative. The 3000 series will be a whole new ballgame. You'll have all of the 1000 series owners upgrading now and many with older cards than that.

Looks like all of the 3080's have sold out in a bit over a day. What a surprise. So will the next batch and the batch after unless AMD do something very special with their upcoming cards. And that's only for the 3080, wait until the 3070 comes along at its price point... and then the 3060 when it comes. I think you can see the picture.

Here, the 3080 didn't even started to be sold.
The date for a possible stock has now moved to 29/09/2020 and only for a single AIB card, the MSI 3080 Ventus, but still subjected to changes (delayed)

On ebay the RTX 3080 are being sold at twice the price they are sold in stores.

Let's not forget the marketing spectacle from Nvidia and Kunos at launch of ray tracing. The fact that ACC was selected setup an expectation for a closer collaboration between the two, but in facts never brought a single improvement.

Maybe a couple of months from now when the 30series found its buyers and some also upgraded to 20series, maybe then we could see DLSS for ACC, it would be really a cool and worthwhile feature, especially for a racing game where fps counts (while having eye candy :)). Definitely in general for me the much more interesting feature of the RTX cards than Raytracing. Thats just a nice thing, but definitely not a gamechanger. DLSS however is if you manage to get 30-40% performance increas without sacrificing too much visual quality.

So if in a couple of months everyone else has a powerful Radeon card, the whole implementation of DLSS would have been a waste of time.

It's easy, you pick your graphics card because several factors, performance, price, technologies, design, etc

If you go for AMD it's on your own, you know what exactly you are buying.

Devs has to block new technologies (and revolutionary), because you pick the wrong choice?

Don't block advantages and push manufacturers brands to do their best, not to stay (forever) on the Betamax video side...

Even if in ACC doesn't (yet, I hope), support DLSS nor raytracing, DLSS is also a very interesting for raytracing, precisly because it allows a much better performance with it on.

Though i would argue that Raytracing in a racing sim is really not something i look for or lust after, at least as long as its still a real downer on performance compared to SSR or what Kunos is using.
I would say that Raytracing makes much more sense in slower paced games, adventure games like Sonys AAA titles or Witcher, Dark Souls etc, basically games that are also supposed to wow you with the visuals first of all.
Great visuals in a sim are a really nice to have and i dont wanna miss it and am happy ACC is the best looking sim by far currently, but i think we all agree here that good performance, great physics and sounds are a higher priority to get right than visuals in a racing sim :)

RTX will make night races awesome when the car lights actually illuminate everything. Not enough fps for racing even on 3000 series I think though.
I'm buying my 3090 Ti for VR performance, not RTX yet.
