1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

-Translation from German, I don't think the translation worked 100% but you should get the gist.

The Bureau of the German Motor Sport Federation at its meeting on October 4 decided SimRacing is now regarded as an official motorsport discipline. This opens the DMSB for the digital variant of motorsports and provides at the same time for a professionalisation of the sport with racing simulators.

"In no-one in other sports reality and digital simulation are so close to each other as in motorsport, "explains Dr. Gerd Ennser, member of the board of the DMSB and in future also responsible for SimRacing.

"The presentation of the Racetracks and the settings of the vehicles are that realistically, many motorsport enthusiasts have long since called SimRacing Training opportunity and preparation for racetracks. Now let's take the next step by recognise SimRacing as a full-fledged motorsport discipline and thus make it easier for young people to enter motor racing as well. "

The DMSB clearly differentiates between professional SimRacing and the gaming variants for smartphones ("mobile gaming") and Game consoles ("casual gaming"). While gaming as a recreational activity applies, requires SimRacing in addition to steering wheel, accelerator and brake both sports training as well as sports structures.

"DMSB can offer valuable support ", Dr. Gerd Ennser. "Who with others not just a bit 'gamble', but seriously looking forward to SimRacing competitions, will quickly realise that clear rules, neutral sports facilities and technical standards useful and necessary.

The DMSB Presidium has now set up a working group to make sure that real and simulated sport even closer together.

I wonder which sim they will end up using, the official presser mentions Assetto Corsa and iRacing. It's really a shame that CAMS Australia decided to go down this path with Gran Turismo , which imo defeats the purpose.

They as in the German Motor Sport Federation.
I don't know how they select what software would or could be used and still maintain it's simracing, I would assume they might endorse a few sim titles or who knows...

I don't think DMSB would select simsoftware for raceseries, this is up to the championchip organisation.

It mentions how they could provide stewards/officials for simracing, (DTM-racedirector mentioned by name!) this part is missing from op so I will provide the link, maybe someone could translate the missing part:
    https://www.dmsb.de/active/detail-v...detail&cHash=185f5b9139fcd305a1ce040396bb7537

It also mentions using simsoftware for the DMSB e-learning courses (e.g. for Racing licenses). The article doesn't mention any specific software.

Anyway good news, without some kind of head organisation who provide sporting rules and sanctioning simracing can never be motorsport :)

Ohh sorry, the link you posted doesn't, I can't find where I found the news but I know they mentioned AC because they misspelled Assetto.
