1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Does AC support use of Track IR - view matches head movement kit ?

    Hi,
I have Track IR 5, as you move your head the view moves with you, three sensors mounted on brim of cap, use in flight sims, can even lean over side of cockpit, does AC allow for use of Track IR and where is this selected in setup controls ?
What otherwise are the best ways to have one head able to look around, I only found switch left and right giving sudden vision direction changes of one move.

Oh don't worry, most folks here know what TrackIR is :). It works in AC from the get go, You don't have to set anything up (apart from Your TiR profile itself).

  4. The only limitation (IIRC) is that you can't map look left and right buttons while using RHM

Does support, but not in showroom. Which is small complaint, but would suit the idea of showroom very well, being able to look around the car (Sorry semi-offtopic)

Hi, Thats good, but you say works straight off the bat, so if I launch TrackIR5 first, then run the sim, it will work for me.
No tick box anywhere to associate it with game is there ?
I have profiles for sims in TrackIR, is there one for AC to import into TrackIR ?
Perhaps my flight sim one would give me the control I need, try that first I guess.

    Sorry what is showroom ?

Showroom is just something you load cars into to look at them or take screenshots. Not essential, not related to actual driving.

Start trackIR app on desktop, then just launch AC. Personally I have it set so that pitch & roll are 1:1 to real head movement. Because seeing up and down isn't very useful in racing, compared to flight sims I don't see the need for accelerated movement, it is more distracting than anything. Yaw has a bit accelerated movement compared to other axis, and small low sens deadzone in the center. To see to the sides quickly. Turning the wheel is sometimes quite physical, so center deadzone makes the image more stable when needed.

You also can't map "look backwards", which took me a while to get used to, but then again, you can finally see most mirrors with head tracking. I've also set roll quite low, because it felt a bit too much at times and doesn't really serve a purpose in racing.

Didn't think RHM could be used with trackir?

  10. Trackir isn't the same thing as RHM?
