1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Duration of the races

I prefer 30-40 minute races because you have plenty of time to create a position and you don't need to be crazy on the first lap. I also understand that some people don't have much time and want a quick race (sometimes me too). What I don't understand is why put in a quick race FP of 20 minutes and Q of 20 minutes. Why do I have to wait 40 minutes to make a 20 race? I believe that many people arrive so full of waiting that they can't wait to go wild. If you want a quick race what is the use of FP? I think it would be more logical 10/15 min at most Q for a 20 minute race. This would also allow you to enter the server and wait for the end of the race, instead we see people entering and leaving all the time. I myself if I see that 20 minutes are left at the end of a race I should wait 20 min of race, 20 min of FP and 20 min of Q.
I honestly don't understand this logic. This is my opinion.

Yes waiting room..... If I have 40 minutes (for ex) I prefer 10 Q and 30 race. Who prefer 5 FP, 15 Q, 20 race?

I miss the LFS days where there was no practice or qualifying on public servers, just short fun races one after another.

I wonder if 1.0 will bring Superpole to MP. That would be sweet for quick races - 2 laps and you're done and then we get started.

For some people quickraces are far from being the main thing.
Some people like to pratice and get better too, those are simracers getting ready for an event or maybe just quickracers noticing they are behind with too many seconds in some teacks etc etc etc and thus they point to practice to improve their driving (races arent the bost to improve laptimes)
Those people (like me) enjoy praticing in MP waaay more than doing it alone in SP, so you can help/get help by others players in the process etc etc

Agree with OP. For a scheduled league race or the sort, makes sense to have a long FP.
But for repetitive online races, I don't see the point of FP at all.
