1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Confirm this?

    Mclaren 720S GT3 EVO 8 levels
1 Engine Braking Lowest (Oversteer Correction)
    2 Engine Braking Low
    3 Engine Braking Normal
    4 Engine Braking High
5 Engine Braking Highest Best (UnderSteer Correction)
6 Wet with Low Engine Braking
7 Wet with Normal Engine Braking
8 SAFETY CAR very slow map and low consumption for Pace Car situations

I don't know – the 720S's ECU map is all about throttle application and fuel consumption, I would be surprised if they totally switched to engine braking.
Also, engine braking – IMHO – is a thing for hybrid cars with energy recovery, but not for GT3.

Where'd you get those levels from?

    eh I can't remember where but I think it's speculation that's why I asked.

However, engine braking is what all motor cars have...

Those look like the new Lambo ECU maps, so probably not applicable for the Macca.

Especially since the Macca EVO has 12 ECU maps in game and your list has 8.

Hi, Honda Mapping 3: I think something is wrong. Either the despriction, or the Mapping is not right, because Mapping 3 is not aggressive, but rather "very progressive"

Honda NSX GT3 & Honda NSX GT3 EVO 8 levels
    1-4 dry maps.

    • 1 full power, progressive throttle map
    • 2 full power, linear throttle map
    • 3 full power, aggressive throttle map ????
    • 4 full power, very aggressive throttle map
    Best regards

    Hey ACC devs,

the mappings for the McLaren Evo 2023 are the same as the mappings of the older McLarens?

And when will the mappings of the 296 be finished and officially released?

    Cheers

the fact that this is some kind of tribal knowledge blows my mind, this should be in the game! what about the new cars? are we supposed to guess?

What is the difference between "normal" and "less"?? Only two levels of fuel consumption?

    • 1 fastest normal fuel consumption (normal = 100%)
    • 2 a bit slower, less fuel consumption (less = 80%?)
    • 3 a bit slower, normal fuel consumption (normal = 100%?)
    • 4 slowest, lowest fuel consumption (lowest = 60%?)

I ran some comparisons a while ago (average fuel consumption, top speed etc). These are all in ACC Results Companion (https://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/index.php?threads/acc-results-companion.59827/). I only did these for Paul Ricard - other tracks might have slightly different relative consumption

  18. One would think that a dev just mentioning what the fuel maps for the Ferrari 296 GT3 actually are would be easy. The community would take care of the distribution of knowledge.

I've found conflicting knowledge out there. It could adjust the throttle map, engine braking, and fuel consumption. There are 10 maps.

For the Ferrari, see below for the relative fuel consumption/power

Given the small % difference between most of these, I guess we can assume they are the same. I haven't gotten around to measuring differences between the throttle maps
