1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Generic Feature request: "penalty for "ESC to pits" during race"

Hi kunos team and @Lord Kunos

One more feature request, and this one seems important to me.
It was included in PC version 1.7 and called - penalty for "ESC to pits" during race -

It's really needed, mostly for online racing leagues.
Cause now a lot of players that takes damage or are practical without fuel goes during the race to the box, gets car fixed, refueling and go back on track without any penalty.

Thanks in advance and hopefully it goes soon in the game.

No penalties. Grey it out for race day, and probably qualifying too.

The problem "greying it out" is that if you got a problem you can't retire in box.
And also if you make a race with live streaming, the one that streams need to retire at box so he can go to the "spectators view" in the session table.

So better a penalty if you exit again the box to the track, but a real good penalty that ruins completely your race.

In a race the pit option/button could be replaced by a retire option, where if selected, would send you straight back to the pits to wait out the rest of the session.

  6. It already has a time penalty, well at least on pc

I'd also like to see an auto kick/disqualify for inactivity.

God lord yes. I am so tired of seeing someone sit idle in a Tourist server for over an hour, just so they can hold on to the 911 GT3 RS / Zonda R / LaFerrari / whatever.

This bugs me no end, you know you're groin away, go back to the damn pits. Don't stay on the track, what's so hard about that? So inconsiderable. Also ESC to pits does have a penalty of sorts, you miss a lap iirc.

You stay on the lap you're on, which can be exploited for benefit.

Let's say your car is damaged, or you're out of fuel, or your tires are shot, or whatever. You need to pit.

Normal Pit: You would enter the pit lane at the entrance, drive at the pit lane speed limit, and pull in to your stall. You make your selections, and the pit sequence would play out normally, taking anywhere from a few seconds to close to a minute if you need many repairs. You must choose a pit strategy wisely to avoid using too much time in the pits. And then you must drive out at the pit lane speed limit.

Instant Pit: You drive over the start/finish line, hit pause, and choose "PITS" from the menu. Your car is transported to the pits, refueled, tires changed, and repaired... all instantaneously. Because you crossed the start/finish line before you entered the pits, you stay on your current lap.

This can save massive amounts of time. I see people use it all the time, and it's really frustrating. It's often some really aggressive racer who is constantly bumping other racers, driving beyond their limit, crashing into things, and using instant pit to repair their car at reduced time lost. In a normal pit scenario, they'd be a lap down from all the damage & repairs.

We are talking about a simracing game. Enter the pitlane like this is not real at all.
