1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

The terms "game" and "simulation" are not mutually exclusive.

Check out the official ACC site

    KEY FEATURES

Assetto Corsa Competizione is the new official Blancpain GT Series videogame.
Thanks to the extraordinary quality of simulation, the game will allow you to experience the real atmosphere of the FIA GT3 homologated championship, competing against official drivers, teams, cars and circuits, reproduced in-game with the highest level of accuracy ever achieved.

Forums are mostly wasted time that could be spent driving. Even if I am guilty of spending too much time on them.

Well there is a lot to talk about that.
I see Kunos aim as always trying to achieve the must realistic experience theres no doubt about that.
The game denotation came from marketing reasons. See the case of AC a difference aproche "your driving simulation".
I don't like pc games always used racing simulations, flight simulation, war simulations, train simulations...;)
    Hope you get the point.

Several dead horses reside and continue to be flogged in the ACC forums. It wouldn't be a Kunos product without them ;)

Good deal. Do you still drive it? It's come a long way if you haven't driven it in a while.

I never stopped playing GPL. It's like an old pair of comfortable shoes now. A lot of laps in 19 years. It still makes me smile. The Lotus 49 is a part of me. We're best friends.

it's a bit off, but just came to my mind after the horse simulator post...
it's quite ridiculous that some people think that moto gp esport is any close to real life. i've read some thoughts earier regarding to the first moto gp esport championship.
you can simulate driving a car quite well in your home, but riding a bike is just a different world. nowhere close to real.
like if you are good in fifa games you shouldn't be able to kick a straight one into a real ball... :D

That's true. I rode some motocross and a bit of road racing on bikes. No way to capture that feel on a simulator unless it was a full blown full movement simulator.

Even with cars we miss the G-forces and seat of the pants feel. Combat flight sims is the same deal.

What we have is the fun part and miss the ugly part. Fear is one of the big ones.

Or there is a sim rig that can automatically break your legs if you crash the car. There's nothing like the thrill of injury.
