1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Generic Ferrari 599xxx evo ACTIVE AERO

hello there, got one question. Does aero package activate automatically during race?
During career mode there is a single race with description saying the car is equipped with aero active package. I wonder if switching all traction control off triggers deactivation of aero package as AI seems to gather huge speed during entering and driving through longest straight and I can't help it. It looks like they are using some kind of Drs. Have you encountered such action? I'm console player btw.

As far as I know, It's all automatic. From the official press (which was copied/pasted in the car's description on PC):
"The 599XX active rear wing is actuated automatically according to specific parameters which are integrated with the car's other control functions (ESP, ABS, SCM and F1-Trac). As a result of this integration, all the electronic controls have been suitably recalibrated. The 'opening gap' system logic is based on the following parameters:
    - Steering wheel angle
    - Longitudinal acceleration
    - Lateral acceleration
    - Vehicle speed
The new aerodynamics package for the 599XX also includes a modified front splitter and a new rear diffuser featuring a larger surface area and redesigned fences and foot-plates. Total downforce at 200 km/h is boosted to 330 kg when the flaps are open and 440 kg in the closed configuration."

Looks to me like it's working. There's no manually operated DRS for that car.

I thought that was real footage until i noticed the HUD half way into the lap. I wondered why the sound didn't sound as violent.

Sound as violent as what? Did you ever sit on the roof of a 599XX Evo driving around a track? Thought so. In real life most of what you'd hear would be wind noise. And the sound in AC is muffled in those camera views anyway because the exhausts are on the side.

Ha, when i hit post i thought i should be more specific but CBF to edit as typing via PS4 is tedious. Well as violent as the real thing, it certainly sounds great as i didn't notice it was from the game, but it doesn't sound as raw. It could be to do with sound implemention maybe and sound stage.

Perhaps. Personally I think from the sides directly next to the exhaust and in-cockpit it does sound good. But it's also one of the older cars in Assetto Corsa, you'll notice the difference in sound to newer cars like the FXX K or modern Ferrari F1. Reworking older cars would sadly be a costly endeavour I imagine.
