1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Hi everybody

I do have a question about the tire compounds for the Ferrari F2004. There is a Soft, Medium and Hard compound available.

Are those compounds temperature based or like the current F1 tires (softer = faster)?

If those tires compounds are temp based, does anybody know the optimal range per compound?

Many thanks in advance for your help guys.

    Fabio

Im running this car in a league season atm 3 rounds in having raced Barcelona, Silverstone and Spa. So far none of these tracks have really worked on the softs even for a qualy run but we havent had very low temps and all these tracks are pretty high load.

You can use the standard tyres app to see if its in the temp window and also the pressures are there too. If green it means its at optimal with blue too cold or low pressure with red too high or hot.

The mediums have fallen away about 75% of the hards life but even hards dont really go for too long. At Spa the last round we did with temps around 18c ambient track 24c +- 2c, hards were only about .5 slower for me then mediums and the mediums were good for 7 laps then off the cliff by lap 11. The hards were good for about 16 laps then off the cliff by lap 21.

We ran a full gp distance of 44 laps and I found hards best for the race as even a 3 stopper you wanted to get at least 11 laps and a 2 stop about 15 per stint. I found both strategies were pretty close here and dod a practice 2 stopper then on the night went 3 stops and was only 5 seconds slower with lots of traffic while the practice run was pretty much clear track.

I think the softs would work on a slower track without too many high speed corners and possibly much colder temps. Not sure how long they would go as I have yet to run a track where they dont overheat on lap 2 with the weather used.

Key is to find a tyre that works in the temp window and then you need to see which works better for your race distance.

Hi martcert, many thanks for the Information. This matches more or less my observations. We run Barcelona at 20 degress at the moment and medium ist the best choice. Softs overheat and I struggle to keep the temp in the hards.
