1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

IIRC the E30 M3 Sport Evolution should be a 1990 car.

And I thought that M3 E30 DTM is early 90's DTM car. Not an expert though.

Great and useful list nonetheless. Thanks for making this.

    On the BMW E30 M3.
Since all are based on the 1986 version and since there are a few of them that is why I left it that way.

If you look at the description of the DTM variant, it's also mentioned 90-92' because AC's base model is the homologation 1990 2.5L Sport Evolution, not the older 2.3L.
In car list for DTM 1990 it'll show the 2.5L M3 Sport Evolution (link1), but not in earlier years were you'll have M3 (link2) or the later M3 Evo (link3).

OTH, the base Group A could be a more liberal interpretation of a late 80s Gr.A M3 Evo.

OK, how do you propose the BMW M3 E30 list to be changed?
    I did:
    1989 - BMW M3 E30
    BMW M3 E30 Sports Evolution
    BMW M3 E30 Drift
    BMW M3 E30 Group A

    1990 - BMW M3 E30 DTM

I've just noticed that the DTM step should be the 92' race car, just select it, and it'll show "Gr.A 92" in the UI. Probably from 90-92 the DTM car didn't change much.
All the others could be left as 1989 or 1990, given that the 2.5L Sport Evolution was launched by the end of 89', but could be usually listed as a 1990 model.

  14. Love the text list, Google sheet would have been more simple and useful but rally appreciate it.
I think there's a spreadsheet somewhere and if it has the car year it could be easily sorted out by year.
It's amazing the amount of cars we have

There is probably nearly linear correlation for year/amount of cars. And it cuts at 1954, ~50+ years into development of a car already.

I wish it would be curved like this:

Pretty sure we have a 74 911 RSR

In a Lotus 25 discussion it was suggested our car was the same visually as the 63 car.

I thought the 72D's main season was 1972 and it was used a bit in the year before and/or after?

I also seem to remember the ingame info said the 250F 6C was late 50's, I could be wrong.

Might be worth double checking some of these.

  19. AlleyViper

"It's complicated". Same as with the E30 Sports Evo that is a 90' model but production started in Dec 89'. It could a be 73' model if you count the December 73' RSR 3.0L IROC Gr4. models that already had the new front (the 73' Group 5 2.8L->3.0L protos are another story), but the actual similar costumer car we have ingame is a 74' model. So yeah, 74' makes more sense.

  20. Andy-R

    Andy-R Alien

Im no expert on the subject but werent those IROC cars rather different to the one we have. I think ours has a close ratio race gearbox where the IROC did not. Im sure I read something like that before. In game it says 1974 AFAIK.

I just checked a few others and noticed ingame it says 1970 for the Lotus 72D which I'm pretty sure is wrong. The description looks similar to the Wiki one and is for the 72 in general.
