1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    It has everything you could possibly want well apart from wheel support, and the ability to be emulated and only on a single platform, sounds which are arguably worse then gran turismo.........



    On a serious note though im not really going to care about which is best, its just want is suited for me and modding is what suites me, a great community, devs with personality etc etc

    We all have our own reasons for liking ac or another sim or something in another genre. I struggle with the mentality of it must be NUMBER 1 THE BEST, DRIVE THE BEST SIM, DRINK THE BEST BEER, SUPPORT THE BEST TEAM. Yeah sadly there are a lot of elitests in this community and its a shame but i guess we dont have much of a choice but to deal with it.

    Sims in 1998 can have snow and sims in 2016 can't even have this basic feature. WE'VE GONE BACKWARDS.

    Yeah no modern car racing sims have wings, propellers or skis bolted to the sides of them. the disappointment is real.

    The "Best" Sim is whatever one you enjoy; Simples. :)

    I do enjoy GM's videos though, and I generally tend to agree with his views; nicely presented.

    Not many people have(here and anywhere) , but Aris etc did. So it's all opinions based on assuming something isn't it.

    Food for discussion. I find iRacing lacking physical road feel and handling. LFS is physically still very good but 'no ffb'. Dirt rally has a feel I can't describe but on gravel/snow it gives me the 'real life feel' (been there done that)
    And AC has this all in one almost flawless IMHO.

    So real live racing/racecar experience /feel vs engineering/ict expertice and programmers or a bit of both like Kunos?

    TBH he filled the video with a lot of "I don't know/understand anything" so I think it's all fine. We make fun of placebo effects all the time in here and the simple reason is that the brain is so easy to fool into believing stuff.. it happens to me all the time when I ask Aris and Luca to "can you double check if I am seeing things or it's real?".
