1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

High CPU usage and car behavior

I was wondering about high CPU usage and if that could influence the car physics in anyway.
I have a I5 3450 and in multiplayer its laying constant around 92%. If it spikes to 100% could
this mean that the car behavior could change in a way that makes the car behave worse or not
according to the cars physics algorithms?

It shouldn't be that high BG, I have a similar spec AMD and it runs at about 50-60% with a full grid in multiplayer. Do you have replays or some apps going a bit mad?

CPU usage seems rather high but I havent had an AMD processor and don't even know what sort of specs that has. I remember in early access being the only time I at times had the CPU warning come up and the game itself slowed down. This I think if it also happened to people in MP it would get their game out of sync with the server possibly causing warping and timing issues. Same as the old CPU overclock bug some had reported as I remember a long time ago running in a server with a friend who had a lower spec system, he was warping real bad on on teamspeak he said he had the cpu warning come up yet it seemed to run fine for him but there must have been fairly big server sync issues going on with his game likely running at lower speed then it should be.

    it
it won't change, but the simulation will slow down if you are at 100% usage. Start an AI race, then start a high CPU process like rendering or zipping and watch AC crawl at 1-2 fps.

Cpu usage in task manager =/= Physics % in the FPS app. I suspect OP is talking about the former, which shouldn't be a problem. It just means that your CPU is likely the limiting factor in MP. If it's the PHY% that's at 92%, then you'd have problem, because if it spikes and goes over 100%, you'd get physics slowdowns and cause you to desync in MP and get cars warping around.

Thanks guys for the answers. With replays meaning shadowplay or the option inAC wich allows you to choce lenght and quality?

Shadowplay used to be an issue, but yes and yes. They all have an impact on your game play to some degree. Try turning them all off and see if it make a difference is the best option. Good luck, don't want you to miss any Street fighting. :)
