1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

How do you know when there's no more room for improvement?

    I know I have never done a lap so perfect in any combo in any sim that I cant see room for improvement, gains will be smaller the closer you get to your limit. Unless your running .00 delta all the way around the lap consistantly unable to find even a tenth then your still a fair way off your limit. If you then go online and are a bit off the fastest guys then you also still have that time to find. ;)

    I started simracing about that time too and I'm usually within a second of the fastest lap. Make sure you practice the right things :p

    I just cannot adapt fast to new tracks and I'm very very clumsy because of Aspergers. I don't really have full control of my body....My driving is sloppy, but I try to be consistent and learn the best lines.

    Ah damn, that sucks. Props for keeping at it tho :) There's track guides for a lot of tracks on youtube that could help you get adapted to tracks faster.

    I'm one of the fast guys, I've been sim-racing since 2003.. you reach plateaus, & I have with one car in Acc, that car is the Benz. I've found new challenges by racing the other cars and getting those cars up to speed. I'm Working on the BMW now & so far I've knocked 2 seconds off my original times. I will continue until I get it where I want to be... Frankly, you can get bored even if your fast and winning races with just 1 car. I find each car to be challenging to make faster. and that's what I like about Acc each car has its own personality.

    I started in 1999 and my 15 year old son outpaces me by 2 seconds at Spa.

    I realized a decade ago we all can’t be aliens so these days I sim race for immersion.
    I still push my limits but if someone is on my bumper I just let them through.
