Immersion breaking parts of tracks (for me)

The side roads also bring up the "slow down to 50 or face a penalty" thing that forces you to slow down and not recieve the penatly.

Please make these side roads usable durring practice so that I can get around to certain points of the track for practice and for messing around in private races. And also let us remove the "slow down to 50 or face a penalty" thing and replace that with having the cars be affected realistically by offroad travel. These two issues ruin Assetto Corsa for me at the moment.

 

Last time I checked, my car doesn't explode and lose all forward momentum if I touch the grass.

I haven't ever played Forza... All forward momentum is not stopped, the vehicle is forced down to 50.

 

Here you can find information on how to turn off the Warning...as for the invisible walls, I would assume they are there for a reason in some tracks as those areas may eventually be completed for extra circuit lay outs...

4. Change the Off-Track Penalty

In race.ini file

C:\Users\YourUserName\Documents\Assetto Corsa\cfg\race.ini

ALLOWED_TYRES_OUT

Change to -1 to eliminate the off track penalty (note this is set by default in version 0.2).

You know what I find interesting about that variable? You can put any number you want in there. Almost as if they are leaving some options open....

I've tried changing that variable to -1 and I'm still getting a 5 second off penalty. Any suggestions? tx

 

Changing that no longer works (since the first patch) the game will overwrite it every time it launches. Removing the penalty is probably the most popular request from the playerbase though.
