1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    This is really awesome indeed!

Just brings a question to my mind about "other" simulation titles, do they simulate the FBB to feel like there's a kerb being driven on and not actually have a 3D track scan mesh on the kerb? or like is it why the kerbs are much flatter in a few other titles I've seen?

In the early 2000s saw-tooth kerbs were modelled as flat kerbs and the FFB was canned to feel like a saw-tooth, but certainly the original GTR (2004) had fully modelled 3d sawtooth kerbs. I can't think of a current sim which doesn't model the kerbs in the track mesh.

    Just a question for Aris.
Maybe a stupid question, maybe not...

Do the wet tires will be way more different in dry conditions, with this new tire model?
I mean, the way the rubber moves in the contact patch and things like this.

Do we will feel much more differences rather than slick tires, or the whole differences with the new tire model will be about the same between slick and wet tires?

I hope i've explained the core of the question...

The wet tyres have their own characteristics. Obviously the get the 5 contact points too with their respective gains and differences from before. But obviously the tyres have different data and behave differently.

They're most likely not gonna release it prior to the Spa event.

Really well explained, now I really understand why the car has been feeling the way it has with single point contact.
The 5 point contact should make the cars come alive and be really enjoyable to drive.
    Loving your work as always

When will you be adding in the pit crew when we gave pit stops?

Nobody really knows what iracing is doing but neither iracing nor raceroom have the curb issues that AC and ACC have. Is that point of contact related? Don’t know. Beyond my pay grade. Just want it fixed.

Seems to be a common workaround to work the curbs. If you find one that causes the issue, change it's geometry so that it doesn't anymore. It's a bit of faking around the issue but acceptable, IMO, as long as the end result (lap times, tyre wear, driving style etc.) don't get unrealistic as a consequence.
It's expected that this approach is taken by other sims.

Needless to say, the Kunos way of fixing the root cause, instead is the much better approach :)

Remember the mess in Misano track in AC. They had to lower the teeth of the curbs, otherwise that was a pure lottery when riding them!

I'm pretty sure someone knows :) Shall we just say neither iRacing nor RaceRoom use single contact point tyre physics, except possibly/probably the AI in the case of RaceRoom.
