1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Kunos, can we have snails in AC for greater realism, please?

    Curious accident in Germany.

On the Autobahn near Paderborn, an old Trabant, icon of the former GDR, drove into a procession of nudibranchs that had plot course onto the tarmac. The car's tyres lost grip on the slime and the smashed potat... smashed snails, spinned, and then turned over.

    Sachen gibt's, die gibt's garnicht!

    o_O

Despite the robustness of the event, no fatalities or injuries. Okay, snails may disagree with me, but you get the point...

Things I've seen get hit/run over on track days:
    • Squirrels
    • Rabbits
    • Snakes
    • Coyote
Aside from the Coyote, a slippery surface flag was shown for a few laps until the animal becomes part of the racing surface. I think we need those for more #simulationvalue

If you think you can mess with snails, read the Patricia Highsmith short stories with those tiny creatures. You won't look at them the same way...

So the Germans have built an autobahn in the sea?

Or had someone thrown nudibranchs on the road?

    I'm confused.

You don't need those Verne-esque creatures to get in trouble. Just try to get a corner at speed coming across a group of toads crossing the street at night. :D
And Paderborn is horrible in any case, I know what I'm talking about...

Thats terrible accidents, who can expect such thing ?

Few days ago, as I was driving down the road, group of birds took off in front. And I thought that it is quite a nice feature of reality :D

I did not know what Nacktschnecke is in English, I had to look it up. The dictionary here says:

    Schnecke: snail
    Nacktschnecke : nudibranch, slug

Sorry for any confusion if my choice was wrong. That nudibranchs should be maritime only, I read nowhere mentioned.

Can't you just smile and have a laugh like the others...? I am the German here, it is me who is supposed to have problems with funny stories and jokes! :D

Okay. Maybe better no cats. Zeus might become too depressed to code on.

Well apparently almost the whole F3 Masters field ran over a family of ducks at Zandvoort a few years back, so fluffy ducklings and their parents are vital to complete any serious racing simulation.

Just to clarify, I was joking. Most of us aren't native english speakers so mixing up slug with a sea slug is fine :)
I had no idea what a nudibranch was, thought it might have been a german word, went to google and discovered the wiki page.

Thought it would have been a very curious accident indeed had they been actual nudibranches ;)
