1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

This thing just smashed the production car lap record held by the Porsche 918.
Really impressive! :D (probably using a less than production-ready or legal setup, but impressive nonetheless)

No wonder, you can clearly see the death-skull-mode enabled at the instruments.

Yeah, I don't necessarily trust Lamborghini or any manufacturer including Porsche without hard data about the test, which of course no one provides. Glickenhaus wants to do something about it, but that's to be seen. The video is still nice and the lap an impressive feat nonetheless.

Something to consider for current records though, since the 918 record and the NISMO GT3 crash the Nordschleife changed and was repaved in several stretches, kerbs changed, some jumps flattened.

Yeah, nothing's regulated, just as it was with the Aventador SV, I doubt these cars would see which way a 918 went after the first few corners, but they are impressive cars regardless. It was a really nice, clean lap, and you can see that the car has nice chassis balance and pretty good grip to maintain those corner speeds, even though it didn't seem like he was really "pushing" it, also a bit of shortshifting involved. (have no idea why)
Regarding the Nordschleife, I think Sport Auto's tests are the most informative and useful for comparisons, but even there they have quite different scenarios when they test the cars (that's how real life works).

It's what I found most impressive about this video, that lap really seems rather relaxed yet still quick.

  7. Cheater tyre be cheating.

Still pretty quick tho, but yeh.... Nords is a terrible track for comparos (driver and weather factor), and nowadays the tyre situation is quite out of control.

In this regard AC is actually a much more fair environment to test cars than real life, lol.
I want to see a Viper ACR lap, that one might get under 7 minutes as well.

He lifted before Schwedenkreuz jump, they all lift there, but in AC we can go flat there np...

  11. Well, you can easily tell that the car could go flat easily.

The driver lifted and short-shifted a lot across the whole lap. Doesn't say anything about the physics in Assetto Corsa.

-ten per cent increase in vertical stiffness and 15 per cent less roll, with the arm bushings improving radial and axial stiffness by 50 per cent. And if you combine that with revised active steering

-rear wing and more aggressive front splitter with active aero front and rear

-P Zero Corsa has been developed with Pirelli specifically for the car and features new double-compound technology

imho Active aero > tires > lighter > other small improvements (stiffnes etc.) > power

The problem with the 918, all you can see, is that on final straight the batteries are on 0% load.

Obviously, the only legit way that we can verify if this car can indeed go under 7 minutes is to have it in-game .

  20. Well, that's true. But I wouldn't call 600hp + "not powerful". Tyres will make any car fast. Tyres and aero will make powerful cars REALLY fast.

I mean, aero will definitely help on my 100whp car (~1-1.5s/lap on like Mosport), but I cant exactly run a lot of it :D

I get the impression from that Performante video that the car depends a lot on mechanical grip (it seems to have very good tyres for sure) and not aero. Or maybe it's just the weight of the car... But I wasn't sitting in the drivers seat, so no idea really.
