1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Limite number of online cars

How is that possible? It's a mod isn't it? I mean, I thought that wan't possible because the pits have a 30 cars limit.

    PS: Nice videos!

You can get track mods for more grid and pit spots, Ideally it would be better if in ACC we could share pit boxes but if it means we simply need hacked grid spots as in AC then that's ok. If pitlane does end up getting collisions enabled as it really should then sharing bays is tricky as is the current OSRW method of pit bays side by side as you could be blocked by other cars if there are collisions.
Why should the MP cars need the users CPU to work out physics for all cars, its not driving the cars from each clients inputs but instead using track position and cars angle mostly along with some smoothing and basic prediction to keep cars looking smooth. In AC servers are generally running at 18-20hz so get 18-20 location updates per second then uses some algorithm to smooth out cars and try to deal with dropped packets. The CPU load should be considerably less in MP but GPU wise there is no difference so its still very setup dependant how it will run in large fields.

Each individual player's CPU is doing the physics for the cars that they are controlling, with the resultant information transmitted across the network.

Your computer does not calculate the physics for a vehicle that another playing is controlling, it simply receives the information across the network.

Our league tried 2 weeks ago 50 online gamers online on Barcelona track... There was no problem with the game itself... It ran no problem, FPS was OK. But ping went up a lot... I mean... it still could work fine, ping went up from 20 to 60 for some people and 100 to 200 for other people. May be if they could do something with Server itself... because AC itself can run 50 people online no problem, but problem with ping -> Tested by our league

It’s modded tracks, both grid/pit spots and AI.
My point is if it would be possible in ACC to have the option to choose the number of AI cars above what is the maximum limit for the recommended specs.
Usually the graphics/video options allows to choose settings that have a significant impact in frame rate and different GPU can make different use of those options.
In regard to AI perhaps the path could be inline with graphics and have also the option to add more AI than the optimum limit due to CPU constraints, thus breaking the limit that we currently have for the maximum number of AI cars.

From my previous experience with online and server management, the limit for adding more online players would be, above all, the available bandwidth for the server but also from players side.
Even if the server has an available bandwidth that can handle 50 or 60 players connected the player itself need to have a bandwidth that could handle also the added number of online cars. Surely the server dictates the overall limit but if players bandwidth is stressed that would cause difficulties also.

Did you guys try reduce server hz rate? Maybe with the regular setting and that many clients mkst users connections were overloaded. Even if the server has the bandwidth it would be up to the clients to be able to receive that much data from 50 other users.
