1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Just wanted to thank Kunos for this amazing sim. I have close to a thousand hours on the original AC, got ACC in early access but only did a couple of laps before I had to move flat, change job, and a bunch of other things which meant that the steering wheel ended up gathering dust in a cupboard for more than a year.

In the meantime I also changed my main OS from Windows to Linux (I work on Linux and was tired of always rebooting to Windows for gaming), and after being surprised at how well SteamPlay/Proton worked I decided to give it a go with ACC.
Now I know that Linux is not a priority for the devs (understandably), and probably not even on their radar, but it just so turns out that everything worked out of the box, including my G27 which was literally plug and play. The only thing that doesn't work is the intro video which is just a black screen. Other than that it's perfect, not a single crash in 50+ hours, and the framerate is at least as good as what I had on Win10.
I'm now looking at getting back into league racing

All that to say that you've made this Linux gamer very happy! So keep doing what you're doing :)
Oh and thanks to Valve as well, their contribution to Wine/Proton/SteamPlay is really amazing.

And if you're a Windows user tempted by gaming on Linux: give it a try, it's never been easier.

Just had a go at running in Linux and it runs better than I thought it would in 2d 1920 x 1080.
Installation was the same as Windows, just had to click the enable Proton checkbox.
One issue I did have was getting Linux to recognise my T500rs.
It responds to all inputs now but the steering has a massive dead-zone and no FFB.
Not bothered as I don't intend to play in Linux but the Steam compatibility shows how far Linux gaming has (finally) come.

It doesn't run in SteamVR for me, just get a black screen and then it returns to the desktop.

It broke for like 12 hours when 1.4 came out, but once again, Kunos came to the rescue to support us even though we're not officially supported, and got her all fixed up again!

If someone told me 5 years ago that I could have an "out-of-the-box" experience on a racing sim with force feedback, FreeSync support, separate wheel/shifter/pedals, at 1440p, on Linux, I would have called you crazy; Proton and DXVK have ignited a revolution in Linux gaming, and developers that keep things clean enough to stay running in Proton will always have my money.

EDIT: If you're having an issue with a logitech wheel going haywire when you "pause" the game, then https://github.com/berarma/ffbtools/pull/17 might help you :)
