1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    That's pretty good. Right on.
When driving Pcars I can see the influence from AC.
The bad reviews, I think are poor setup in PC and making a direct comparison to Gran Turismo with a thumb pad. He is right. AC needs a wheel.

Influence from AC in pCars? Both are driving games but I feel nothing in comon when driving pcars and ac. AC is nowhere near as complete on console as on PC so the poor reviews isnt that weird, was also pretty bad performance when it was reviewed so that probably added to the negative opinions too.

edit: You maybe meant that ac is much more enjoyable to drive than pcars? Its late so its possible that i missunderstood your post.

That's how I would do it :). Ah the memories, my first pc racing game. In my opinion the best NFS. *switches to replay and let's you skip it* "You placed first!"

The first thing I noticed driving AC is how slow everything felt. I had much more time in the corners and a lot more driving input I could and needed to do. That slow feel is what is simulator in Pcars although that's were it ends.

    A positive review, that's rare...

I'm just hoping Kunos can get the game fixed and updated to feature- and content parity with the PC version as quickly as possible, that's how it should've been released in the first place since they didn't do an Early Access release on console. It'd still be rough around the edges but at least the avoidable issues would be out of the way. At the core it's a great game despite the roughness and I was hoping that it finds great success on consoles but it doesn't help if bugs turn people away.

    kofotsjanne and Horus like this.
  8. The problem is the single player is extremely neglected by Kunos. Pit stops in single player were only added fairly recently, as was ballast. I remember not too long back when the AI couldn't pit so you could only do a certain race distance before the AI would just run out of fuel.

I was thinking that perhaps a very simple quick podium ceremony could be shown after the race has finished. Of course you can't please everyone. For every person that would say I would like a podium ceremony, there will be two others that say it's a waste of time and would be skipped by the player every time...

Perhaps a simple results screen to be displayed for 10 seconds (which could also be skipped)?

I do think it's perhaps part of a larger issue with the title in general. There is no incentive (other than the driving) to actually finish the race. It would be nice if there was some kind of reward at the end of a race. I did suggest an XP points system which would reward things like a clean lap, completing a lap without hitting anything and finishing the race (so not quitting - which is always a problem in MP races) however that in itself isn't without its issues I'm sure.
