1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Anyone remembering the notorious race in the video game Mafia? It was really difficult, but at the same time was a lot of fun, at least for me. The car physics were actually quite decent, one of the reasons why the race was so difficult and fun of course.
The track is also not bad at all, I wonder though if it's based on any real racing circuit?

Apparently there is also a rfactor mod. Maybe one day we'll also see it for Assetto Corsa :p

Here a video to jog your memory (not my video)

A hot lapping video? (also not mine)

Looking at these videos makes me all nostaligc. It was and still is one of the best games in my opinion.

Anyways, I just wanted to share this with you racing enthusiasts.

I think we based it on something real, but i can't remember anymore, it's been 12 years ;)

it was definitely inspired by some real location, but the actual track layout was tweaked quite a bit,

me and my friend were the ones responsible for AI paths, since what was used in M1 was that you recorded person driving , that plotted the AI path/Speed

funny thing is that we did so on keyboards :D

it was eventually dumbed down by certain percentage, because people were having hard time to beat those times :D

    oh the memories :)

I had a blast driving this with keyboard! I remember talking the day after with my friend at school about the race and how many times I had to do it before I finally finished it! So many broken neck on the final corners. Oh the memories! Was really a good time, one of my best game experience ever! I admit the when I finished it, I cried... :) also by being Sicilian was great too, every time I went to Vincenzo was great! Italian dubbing was also quite good (strange because most of the time it was just sh#t!) but I've never played it in English... I MUST reinstall it and try :)

That was an awesome awesome awesome game!!!! I just loved everything about it, I remember always liking the speed limits in the game and of course all the countryside it had and that race was brilliant. I loved the track and watching that video brought back some fond memories.

Thank you to all the devs who made it!

thank you all, it was amazing experience for sure, and back then, games weren't so corporate , and we're very proud of it, and from how well it was taken on by fans

I learned so much in that company and will always have very fond memories of working there,
