1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

A few days in and the servers are infested with wreckers. Racemaniacs GT3 server, the cleanest popular GT server has idiots lying in wait during races which I had not need seen in the days of Minorating. The usual unintended consequences of the big state.

I have yet to see it get bad on our league prac servers but running mod content which is also newer then most seem to be trying to join with has kept it to mostly locals. I can imagine any stock non DLC content in a busy server now without MR is pretty much a waste of time. Will need to look into alternatives but for my uses more likely just making the servers not public is the easiest option. The beauty of MR is you could run league practice servers and have it open to any new MR A or AB only people which means any randoms that jump in rarely cause any issues. Everyone that jumped in had good clean hard racing and the league guys were able to run laps without needing to worry about every new joiner. We got lots of new good people into our leagues with this method which wont work any more but if people see locked servers with a league name they will likely search for it and find out how to get in.

Having all servers open to the wild west will make us miss MR even more which is a shame, however as most really weren't using strict MR as high priority its not going to effect most of these people.

My public MR servers were mostly empty once I didn't help keep populating them, hardly anyone would ever join a stricter MR empty server if it wasn't theirs which is the main reason I gave up on public servers in AC a while back. But if there was any combo I wanted to run it was easy to put it up with MR A or AB and see who else would join, keeping these pub servers up 24/7 was a pretty big waste of time however.

  4. My desktop race environment has been clean for the past five or six weeks. No wheel, no gear shifter, no pedals, no racing, and no hassle :D

This occasionally happened before when their MR plugin failed to start. And after the admins decided to re-open the limitations to C, you better kept your *** away from the midfield from the back, for C happened to be W's little brother.
So, sadly, no surprise to me.

It's sad to see the end of MR. The most important addition to AC in my eyes. Thanks to MR I was able to have so many awesome battles and met really good drivers that were regulars on AB and later on also A only servers.

I see the site is down already, too bad, I wanted to see the "final" stats. But numbers speak for themselves, I think there were over 100k drivers overall. I did over 70k km and I know there are guys with well over 100k km.

From my experience the alternatives being KMR and SRS don't come close to MR AB servers. For past weeks I've been doing just SRS races every now and then and there's big spread both in pace and racecraft throughout the grid, ignoring blue flags is nothing unusual...

Anyway back to MR. Thanks a lot Minolin for changing MP experience to something really cool and it's good to see your work is appreciated by KS and that your journey doesn't stop with the end of MR. ;)

Sad to see MR go and fingers crossed Rackservice find an alternative. I don't really like the sound of the KMR money thing but if it provides some filtering to keep nutters out then it would be a welcome addition. Fortunately we don't get the numbers in for this to be a concern and the few unknown players we have had in GRC recently have been fine.

Yeah I'm not sold on SRS. The idea is great but I don't like the one make car choices or strange grip settings. Almost every race was without a battle as well, I have more fun racing just with pctm in GRC :D

I'm still not sold on the GT3 cars only idea, so I couldn't use "we". :p

Yeah I guess either not many of the fast guys are using it or just the races I'm interested in (vintage) are not popular among them. I'm doing just the Alfa GTA at the moment and basically there are 3 other guys with whom I can actually race. I remember joining one race midday on the weekend, qualified almost 4s in front of the second guy... first world problems. :D
I've seen 50-60 people registering for GT races so it's probably better there.

I also don't get the 95% grip when the session starts if 3laps later it's already 100%.

I thought it started even lower than 95 TBH like 90 or 88 with maybe a 10 or 20 lap gain. I don't know why they don't add the 718 RS60 and maybe even the Fulvia to the GTA to make a more interesting grid.

Idea is ok but being in Australia I have no interest in joining European servers to try to get racing at 370+ ping so have never even signed up. KMR sadly doesn't interest me much as its not a global rating which was the big plus of MR, it has features I don't need and doesn't have that global rating and auth which is all that I needed from a ratings plugin and server auth.

AC still for me is great for league racing but hosting or joining public servers has no interest to me without MR. Look forward to what ACC brings as the pickup server racing should be much better, if we have a global rating system there then it will give me my fix of pub racing. For league Im not sure if GT3 only will keep me interested long term but there are lots of options beyond just the content to keep things interesting.

For pub racing everyone should be familiar at all tracks and at least a car or 2, so this should have larger user base without fragmentation. Running pub servers using more of the sim features amongst good clean drivers should be fun for both league and pickup racing.

I attended some 1hr SRS events during the winter and had quite some fun and clean races. But the DST kicked in and races start at 23h local time, which is a bit too late for my taste. But I can imagine it's hard to please everyone's timezone regarding this, and hourly races might end in too much thinned out grids.

Ah okay, I didn't know what KMR does really. I haven't ever used it but would probably at least check it out if it was an option for Rackservice customers. I've never done any league racing in AC, I've tried to get people together for one a few times but without success. I'm happy enough pub racing in AC as is anyway, as long as the horde doesn't descend on us as administration in VR is close to impossible.

Yes one of the reasons I was looking towards an alternative to MR.
Sadly KMR isnt perfect and the money thing isnt really any benefit as you earn money to buy what?
Im not aware of anything else even similar to MR.

@Minolin is there any chance you could at least release a list of the GUIDs of known wreckers so we can at least keep the diehard wreckers out.
isnt the steam id technically public info anyway?

I always wondered why the Steam Community ID was chosen as main base for server files in AC, now a sane reason to stop a very useful system as Minorating.... I hope it will not be the same with ACC !
So Minorating or Stracker or .... ?? had really no other choice to use this same ID.

In AC, if you wish to drive with the livery you wish, no choice: booking .... a disastrous system when you have to wait ... or use a prebooking file needing a public ID ( especially not really private for those who show their profile publicly ).
Strange as most sims allow to enter a server with your chosen original livery ! ( except of course added ones )

I rarely drove on public servers for lack of free time ....but from now on ...I'll avoid ( even if I have free time ) the public servers as I always did before.
Without Minorating, public servers will be as most public servers: places to avoid. .... and I'm not a pessimist but very realist.
I don't know KMR very well .... but some included features don't attract me much. :(

Thanks Minolin for all what you did with Minorating and good luck for the future.

Sad news indeed. MR was an incredible achievement and it was a privilege to be present to witness such an era in simracing history.

    Thanks once again to Minolin!
Genius move by Kunos - can't wait to see what you guys come up with together for ACC :)

On the subject of SRS- that is all the racing I have been doing for some time now and it can be really great if the combo and timeslot suits. But yeah the cleanliness is probably AB at the top of the field and BCD towards the back, so miss quali at your peril!

You are correct V8 in saying the Alfa GTA is one of the least popular cars currently on there - mainly imho because most people haven't got a clue how to drive it.
For some other combos you can get multiple servers full for each race - then of course seeding becomes more relevant and you can end up with lots of fast guys in the top split.

In fact, I enjoyed some nice races last night. Also, the lack of Minorating encouraged me to switch servers more often. So I had unexpectedly great fun with a 911 in Monza and a real blast with the Formula Abarth in Brand's Hatch.
Back in the ol' days I often found myself pinned to one server (like UK RaceManiacs) where I knew I had a chance to keep my MR grade; the latter kind of had become my main objective and kept me from going where the wild things are.
