1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

MX5 too slow

I'm driving the MX-5 ND 2.0 in real life. Such a nice and amazing little sportscar to drive.
Driving on the german Autobahn its easy to get 200km/h in 5th gear (before finally shifting into 6th and reaching top speeds, which takes a little bit longer than).
Whenever possible i'm trying to avoid the Autobahn and prefer to drive on land roads. This is much more fun and something the car is best for...

Nevertheless driving fast and taking corners (with both, the standard and the MX5 Cup cars) in AC is fun, too.
But... i'm wondering not to achive 200 km/h at all! Even on tracks like Monza, it's not possible.

I this context i also do not get faster speeds adjusting the setup.
Higher tire pressure etc. should gain in more speed, which does not work.
I also do not notice any slipstream effects on long straights.

What's wrong here? Are the physics are not fully/finally implemented in terms of the setups?
Ars the MX5 specifications wrong here?

I'm driving on PS4 with a standard DS and fully functioning controller (nothing wrong with the buttons).

  3. I don't think there's an issue.

    1. Monza is not nearly as long as an autobahn, so it unlikely you're going to acheive the same top speeds there.

    2. I can reach 120mph (193kph) at monza, stock setup. Considering IRL speedometers usually overestimate speeds by 10% or so, I'd say that'd be an indicated 212kph IRL.

    3. Increasing tyre pressures will not increase top speed unless you are already gearing limited (which you are not since you are still accelerating at the end of the straight).

    Edit:

Also, on an Autobahn mod track I can reach 206kph in 5th gear, and 214kph in 6th.

  4. Hi Racer4711,
I did a short test with the Mx-5 ND and could get 202 km/h in 5th gear before Parabolica turn at Monza 66 Road Course layout. I could get that speed at every single lap, so I think that in the PC current build (AC 1.11.4) the car is fine.
I didn't test the Cup version though, only the ND. Screenshot and replay of a few laps are attached, setup was pure default (just pressed "drive").
Where I agree 100% with you is that almost every car was slower in AC up to version 1.11.3 (if I remember correctly). Unfortunately the difference in patches delivery between PC and Console is something that nor Kunos neither CM505 can sort, depending on how Microsoft and Sony schedule the updates. I hope it won't take long to be everybody on the very same build.
    Have fun!
