1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

My First iPhone Movie...

Hello everyone - forgive me, but I thought you might be interested in a film I made of a GT3 racing driver, Jody Fannin, using my iPhone. Filmed it at Oulton Park last week with a specialist "cinemascope" lens and I'm pleased with the way it has turned out. The in car footage was shot on a different camera. I think it underlines how far phones have come. Challenges of course with iphone filming, but things are getting better all the time. I used an app called FiLMiC Pro which helped immensely. Hope you like it!

  3. Nice job. Looks very good. Thanks for sharing.

Question. How am I supposed to feel when watching this?

The music makes me feel like I should be watching something bittersweet, perhaps sad, or that I should feel happy for someone overcoming some tragedy.

Ah that's interesting ... to me it felt a thoughtful piece of music, contemplative ... about someone who truly loves their sport and gives it their all.

Looks very professional. If you didn't tell us I would be scratching my head, definitely great quality for a phone. That custom lens you added must surely have made a difference, too.

Nice editing also. You should invest more to your hobby, you're good.

Many thanks - it's an interested by experience for sure. The positives include the ease of manoeuvring the camera in and around tight spots and not get in the way too much. Light and easy. The "challenges" include the tiny native lens, controlling contrast in changing lighting conditions and focus in moving frames. You're also looking at things through a smallish screen.

Cheers for the YT version. Good little film and the quality, with respect to the hardware used, is pretty damn good. I'm not jealous of the guy in any way...... ;)

Nice job. You can do amazing things with the iPhone and the right equipment. I have a stabilizer for my iPhone and 5D and in most cases prefer to shoot with the iPhone because it does a fantastic job and is far more portable.

Its a nice well produced video :)

My one bit of constructive criticism would be to try to use more than one angle when doing actual interviews, so that you can cut to something else. So have the main profile shot, but then either have a wide shot, or a shot angled more towards the side etc, it helps to break up the talking sections of the video. We did 3 camera interviews, main profile, closeups (hands, eyes, head) and then a wide shot of the subject sat down. Of course, its much tougher to achieve if you are a one man operation.

Cameras now are so much lighter than they were 10 years ago too, so thats not so much of an issue now.

Hi Ben - yes excellent point on visual variance for the interview. Easy to do too if planned.
