1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Peculiar engine/driving mishap in the GT3 RS

Engine sound completely cuts out and once the car was back on the ground it was as if the brakes were locked up. Tach drops to 1. Did the PDK get stuck in neutral?

  3. You stalled it lol. Never brake when the (driven) wheels are in the air. Actually dont brake period when that happens.

That was my first thought although I didnt think that was possible in AC. Thanx! I usually brake just before I go airborne then a bit shortly after, clearly my timing was off, hahaha. Been a while since I'd driven Nords, twas' a messy lap, lol

  5. Well, it half stalled at least. Enough to upset the drivetrain on landing since it had to catch up. In most games it would do that. Altho much worse when proper stalling is modeled I reckon.

I had the same last night with the 918, landed (probably broke mid air) and no engine sound whatsoever, was in 4th but with my gas pedal pressed nothing happened, changed down and it reved its nuts off.
Checked the replay a couple of times and although I believe I was mashing the gas pedal at the time my pedals app says otherwise

Its goofy because I've driven over 2000 miles at Nords and never did anything this silly, first time for everything I guess, ha! I've never gotten a handle on the 918, that car feels like alien tech to me , a higher quality wheel might help.

Yeah happened to me also a few times.

You braked when your wheels where in the air, so it almost stalled it and the auto clutch kicked in (rev stays at 1k), so that's why it didn't went back up when you came back to the ground, but after you gave some gas to release the auto clutch.

The downshift protection even keeps working, so if your speed is too fast for i.e. 3rd gear then you can change from 4th to highest gear all you want.
Only a touch on the throttle brings the engine back up so the auto-clutch disengages.

And in the replay the clutch isn't saved so you don't see what happens. I recorded the 918 video while driving so it shows the clutch.

I was sure I had the throttle pedal mashed after I had landed, revs only came on after I changed down (into the red line), that's why it felt so weird at the time

Possible, but every time I had it only a throttle-blip solved it.

I even once forced it and tried different things, like shifting, braking, waiting/rolling. That's how I know the downshift protection was working.
